Toy shopping list With Eleanor being here soon it's time for me to stock up on toys. Does anyone have any recommendations about what I should pick up for her? I am pretty sure I'm going to get a puppy kong. I was also thinking about the teething toys for puppies that you can freeze to cut down on chewing elsewhere. That's about as far as I have gotten. :p I really don't want to go into Petsmart unarmed with ideas because I am sure I will come out with one of everything if I don't make a list now. |
I have a rope toy, balls, stuffed animals, and squeaky toys. |
Thanks! Are your stuffed toys bigger than your babies or do you get the ones that are little almost like cat toys? |
Hi I have some stuffed toys as big as my baby and then little little ones- if you look in the human baby section you can find a lot of little stuffed animals- make sure the don't have button eyes! I would also recommend a baby kong -petite size. Good luck. |
I have bigger and smaller ones. They tend to like the smaller ones the best. I have gooten alot of them at Mcdonalds in the happy meals. They also have this ball thing that has feet on it that bounces that they love to play fetch with. |
a soccer ball from Petsmart :) the small ones that squeek! little plush toys, also the puppy stages toys are really good for teething too. How fun, shopping for a new one :) have fun! |
How Fun! Bugaboo says "Can I go with you? My momma takes me to petsmart and lets me pick out what I want. And I want everything. But she only buys me a few. Be sure your ball is small enough to fit in your mouth. They have little tennis balls. I'm so jealous.. I'm going to tell my momma I need MORE TOYS!" :animal36 |
Get a nylabone. CHloe loves chewing on those and they are safe. CHloe likes the cheese and bacon flavor. My girls also love the loofa dog. It looks like this but comes in several colors: http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...t=bobo+dog&N=2 |
Petsmart also has these little stuffed animals that come with an extra squeaker that you can use to replace the original one if it goes out. BUt anyways they are small and the perfect size for yorkies- chloe loves them, she has the little yellow ducky/chicken. SHe also loves the small rubber/latex squeak toys like the soccer ball and the ball that looks like it is covered in rubber spikes. SHe also loves little stuffed animals filled with catnip- these are in the cat section. I hope this helps :) |
mini likes soft toys that are light ..for when we play catch i think they are easier for her to retreive ..she loves the hamburger which is part plastic and part velour and its not to big so she loves it , oh and it sqeeks have fun shopping |
I like the rope toys and the laytx sqeeky toys. I don't like the plastic or rubber toys as I have heard they are bad if they accidently eat some of them. I imagine all are bad if eatten but I just heard the rubber and plastic are worst. I would also get some of pet stages as those are great toys. |
Thanks for the help guys! Bugaboo of course you can come too! The more the merrier. I will be taking Eleanor to Petsmart with me once she gets here. I stopped in a few minutes ago but I limited myself to two toys ;) This time....I ended up with a puppy Kong with the filling and one of the small plushies with the extra squeakers. We also got a clicker and treats. I think I will let her pick out her own on the next trip I make. I was going to get some of the petstages teething toys but then I saw that you can freeze the puppy kong so I thought we would try that first. I knew I was forgetting something though....I didn't get a single ball! We will definitely have to get one of the soccer balls after hearing how much fun they are. |
Sully's favorite toys of all time are: the Loofa Dog http://www.peton.net/shop_img/loofa.jpg PetStages pyramid toy http://petchauffeur.net/Merchant2/gr...shPyramida.jpg and the squeaky soccer ball, of course!!! That's a must. |
Diva's a 2 timer!! she tries to juggle with two toys at a time..its hilarious to watch..lol she holds a plush toy in her mouth while she kicks a ball around the house, and if u join in, she will struggle on kicking the ball to give it to u. |
You mean besides my hair clips, tissue & the cats feather toy? lol Anything that is small, soft and squeaks. She likes ping pong balls (she steals them out of my sons little toy gun) I bought her a teething Kong, I even put peanut butter in it. She looked at me as if to say "As IF". |
