ideas for interactive toys I keep hearing about interactive toys for dogs, yet I don't know where to find them or which ones are best for yorkies. Lola likes squeaky rubber toys that can be tossed and fetched. She also likes most treats. I don't want the kong toy because I don't want to stuff it with messy things like peanut butter or that cheese squirt stuff. I was surprised when I did a search here not to find anything |

I have egg babies on special for 50% off: toplinepet.com Just let Lola smell the eggs & insert them into the pouch. She'll then take them out & do it all over again, it's so much fun watching them! You can also leave the eggs in your clothing (I put them in my shirt/belly like I'm preggers w/eggs loll!) & it'll have your scent on them. Then put them in the pouch & let her have fun.:D |
jenny I just orderd a bunch of stuff, dummy me did not even realize it was your sight until I came back to this thread, I have a question, are you out of the Pet Silk show ring spray, there was no ordering box under the item, also did not ask for the discount, but since I bought items that were on sale, it does not matter to me, let me know if you have the pet spray and if you can add it to my order |

The option to purchase the Pet Silk are on the bottom of the page. |
thanks for you help and the free bottle of Pet Silk, and Lola can't wait to try out her new toys, but LOL she said she could care less about the grooming products especially the new brush! |
I've gotten a couple of these for our girls: Affordable and dishwasher safe. I use them for feeding breakfast and dinner - slows them down. :) |
Thanks for these awesome links. I have been trying to find different toys for my baby. Going to check these out. |

I found one of the wooden puzzle type bones where you hide a treat in on of the holes at TJ Maxx for less than $10 last month. Worth looking for my girls love them and it takes them a little while to get the treat out |
I have the wooden toy that slides and Lexi loves it. I put regular food (kibble-like) in it. It takes her a while longer to eat, but she likes it. I also have the one with the four flaps that turns underneath. Lexi can't figure out how to lift the lid yet, so I get her started, but she will turn it to get the "prize" out. I use her regular food (Real Meat Pet Food) that she gets at night time. She loves to eat out of both of these. I got the wooden one at Ross and the plastic flap one at Petco in the clearance bin. |
My pups love their little treat toys. Max has a treat ball that we put treats in and he has to roll it around to get the treats out. To make it last longer, I put larger pieces of treat in the ball. It came with a plastic insert, but I took that out as a lot of people noted that their dogs chewed those when they opened the ball. Got it from Amazon.com - Smarter Toys IQ Treat Ball Dog Toy, 3-inch, 7.88 Abby does not like the large plastic ball (yes, she thinks the three inch ball is large) and prefers the Premier Twist and Treat Dog Toy, 7.49 (also Amazon). They also have a few interactive toys -Kyjen Hide-A-Squirrel. Comes with several small squirrels with squeakers. The object is for the dog to get the squirrels out of the tree trunk. They loved this at first, but now only used from time to time. I think this was under 10.00. We have a Hide-A-Chick (chicks and a red barn). |
Donna You mentioned that you don't like the kongs and personally I don't like messes either however Wallee loves ice cubes so I cover the large end of the kong with saran wrap and hold it on tight with an elastic. Then I fill it with water and stand it up in a shot glass in the freezer. Wallee will lick away at it until he gets all the ice out of it. I then put it in the dishwasher. |
