Kahlua's Playhouse!!! (no relation to Pee-Wee) http://www.yorkietalk.com/gallery/da.../playhouse.jpg This is the second one we've made for him and he loves it. We still need to paint it and cover up the edges with material so he won't chew on the wood. The first was just a plain cardboard box laid on it's side. He can use it to get on/off the bed which is nice since we don't have to wake up in the middle of the night to pick him up/let him down. :D Anyone else buy or make anything like this for their yorkie?? :wavey: |
That looks like fun! Hopefully Kahlua won't decide to make like superman and dive off the top..LOL |
I love it! And it looks like Kahlua does too! Great idea! |
Hehe thanks.. he's getting brave and jumps off the top onto a big pillow on the floor next to it. He's also getting good exercise from jumping up and down and has gained more muscle and feels "solid". |
Very interesting. I think my pups would have fun with that. They like to snuggle up with me in my bed, so I don't think it would work for me. It's really a good idea for adventurous pups. |
Well actually it worked out great for that purpose too, because kahlua likes to be in the bed with us but our bed is high. So this way he can go up and down all he wants. He loves it! :animal36 |
Cool Playhouse. kahlua seems to love it. Cool idea. My hubby is suppose to make something for Gucci but we are still waiting. |
Aaaaaw...he looks so happy! :D |
From a Guy What about using those different size plastic crates they sell at walmart/Kmart etc. should be easy to cover with a quilt type material and theres no worry about chewing wood  |
Thats a good idea! What we ended up doing, was I covered the entire playhouse with canvas and added pillow stuffing to the top step, middle step, and cubby hole for cushioning. We wanted to paint it, but that would not prevent the wood chewing, so this was the next best idea. Kahlua loves it even more now that it is softer. He chooses his playhouse over our bed now most of the time, lol. |
