Washing toys Hey YT, Does anyone have any tips on washing the plush squeaky toys. The ones I have are about 1 month old and in perfect condition. I wash all the kongs, hard chew toys in the dishwasher (no detergent) but I am stumped when it comes to the plush toys. Any advice is appreciated. |
I toss them in the sink with dishwashing detergent, then put them in the washer with a rinse of water and a cap full of white vinegar, and again in just plain water, then let them dry.. I been doing that for ever with my dogs toys..:D |
I throw mine in the wash on hot water and a little 7th generation laundry detergent and dry them in the dryer. They come out great :) |
I wash them in the washing machine in a lingerie bag, toss in dryer and hang to dry. Most are baby toys and they wash beautifully. |
I throw my in the wahing machine. Turns out fine. Mine each have a favorite baby they got when I brought then home and they are 5 & 7 yrs old. Still in good shape. |
Such good advice. I take Annie to work with me and her toys get so dirty. I have been washing them in the sink but looking forward to putting them in the washer. It will be such a time saver. |
I wash it in the lingerie bag in the washing machine w/apple cider vinegar (no fabric softener or bleach). I air dry them. Make sure you squeak the water out of the squeakers lolll. |
I wash Levi's toys in the washing machine with free & clear laundry detergent, then throw them in the dryer with no dryer sheet. We haven't had any toy casualties due to the washing machine yet. I wash all of his things (toys, bedding, clothing, etc) in a separate load...and buy separate laundry detergent. :p |
So is it safe to put them in the dryer, the ones that have the squeaky's in them? I have so many toy's here that when they get really dirty, I usually just replace them. |

I have a sanitize cycle on my washer and throw their toys and bedding in. Sometimes I air dry the smaller toys but I have tossed them in the dryer. |

I have one of those lingerie/delicates bag. When I wash her towels and blankets I put them in with that load. I usually dry the toys on cold air so I don't melt the squeakies. |
