Martha Stewart Pets toys Martha Stewart Pets toys I'm a big fan of these Martha Stewart toys. I could care less about her name being on them, they do see to me to last longer than other comparable toys. That is, their quality seems to be higher, and they stand up pretty well to my Yorksters who are aggressive chewers (when they are not bugging me to throw the toy, as fetch seems to be their reason for existence at this stage of their lives). I have bought them some pig toys (stuffed with ropes sticking out for appendages) and they are holding up nicely. They are crazy about these in particular, though: Martha Stewart Pets™ Squeaker Ball Dog Toy - Martha Stewart Pets - Dog - PetSmart I purchased a couple a few weeks back, and both are still in pretty good shape (only they are covered in matted dried up Yorkie spit). My guys love these toys over all others, and will sit there while I am at the computer or TV and beg for me to toss these silly things. They seem to be much more addicted to these after weeks of play, i.e., the novelty of a new toy has worn off. They love them more than any of their other toys (including the dozens of others laying around). The only two complaints I have is they like them too much, meaning they pester me to play non stop for hours, and because they are covered in fur they get slimy when playing for extended time with yucky Yorkie Spit. Huge advantage is they have no stuffing in the main portion of the toy (the head does, but they have held up quite well), so these last for my guys, who will NOT play with a plain rubber toy, they need that fur like covering or the game is off. |
Maybe I will give them a try after I have seen that the ones I have don't work. I have tons of toys. I actually need to get a little toy box so he can run up to it and play with whatever he wants. |
I wonder if anyone has successfully trained their Yorkie to put away his or her toys? That would be quite the challenge with my Yorksters. We usually pick them up and put them in a big pile but they always make a mess of it soon enough, although these Martha Stewart fur covered balls are still the top choice without a doubt. |
We have a small plastic clothes basket that we put Abby's toys in. She knows how to take them out, but I have yet to try to teach her to put them back in. I think it would be a waste of time for me. However, it might be a useful thing for some folks if the dog cooperated :):animal36 |
Those are cute toys. I haven't tried the MS toys but did purchase a fleece type coat that fits kinda bulky on. It works real well when it gets cold here. Jack looks like a monk to me when he has his on. His is brown and Josie's is pink. They have held up for last year, we will be using again this year. |
I thought Pixie would love them, because she likes to dig on things that make noise, and she loves fleece toys, and these are both. The flat part of the toy "body" for those that haven't seen them, seems to have a thick crinkly plastic wrap like insert, kind of like a potato chip bag. But when we went to PetSmart and showed them to her, she showed no interest. |
