"Crinkle" Sound Toys?
 
Happy Wednesday, Everyone:

My little Gia has plenty of toys, but she still prefers to chase after plastic bags or "crinkle" sounding items in the house.

Does anyone know of a safe toy that has a "crinkle" sound that she might be able to play with? I think she'd go bananas over the noise, but I want a puppy-safe toy so she won't hurt herself, etc.

LOL...........I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but if you sew, you can make a very inexpensive, noisy, crinkle toy yourself. I just use a little fleece cut to fit a "water bottle" in, stitch up the sides, turn right side out and then put the bottle inside with enough fleece at the top to be able to turn it under and sew it shut! Then I take a piece of fleece and tie just above the bottle top and it is done!! It does crinkle a lot and makes a lot of noise. I have a few and my fluffs are scared of to death of them and avoid them, but then Tinkerbrat's mom says Tink just loves them! Go figure.

Lots of human baby toys have a layer of crinkly material, Ziva likes them too!
Walmart and Target have a decent selection and cheaper than dog toys too.
(I get them at yardsales, they wash well(I throw them in a laundry bag with her weekly wash), and are very safely made, I've cut them open when they are ready to be retired and I'm impressed at the stitching)

I bought a used baby playmat ($3) that is a lion and his ears are that crinkle stuff. Tia is 7 months and she has been chewing on those ears since we brought her home at 10 weeks.

I noticed that when Joey was a puppy he loved that crinkly sound, so I made a few because I hadn't seen any in the stores. I found a dollar store stuffed animal, and removed the stuffing and eyes, and use the paper liner from a cereal box to restuff it. It's really crinkly sounding, and he loved his homemade toys. What we do for our babies!

I can make crinkle toys. I have lots of designs for them. As with any toy they should be used under supervision since any toy can be chewed to pieces given enough time.

If there is something you are interested in let me know. I have lots of animal type designs I can make. Here is an example of a heart shaped toy I make.

I can also make teddy bears, bunnies, cats, cows, pigs, a football player, chick, stuffed T shirt shape with a saying on it, fish, penguin, frog, lamb, ghost, snowman, chicken, duck, round smiley face, and dinosaur and more.


You can have crinkle or squeakers in them.

I don't know if you like PetStages toys from petsmart or petco. But they have a taggy ring that has no squeeky and all crinkly. My mommy goes bonkers when I play with my squeeky toys. She always says that dog toy makers/inventors NEVER think about our humans when they make dog toys. I LOVE squeekies but crinklies are a great alternative.

Check out the cat toys. Many of them have a crinkly sound.

bella loves the crinkly toys too!! she doesn't play with much else..but loves the noise i guess.

My dogs have a couple of crinkly stuffed toys. I just checked to see if the tag is still on them and surprise, surprise it was. They were made by Plush Puppy. We have had them for a long time and my guys just love them.

I LOVE petstages toys too! There are two that I got from Target that they didn't have at Petsmart or PetCo, they were a butterfly and a turtle. There are crinklies in there!

I love the babymat idea!

Mine too love the crinkly toys!! They go nuts over them. There was a member here that use to make them in like little tubes but she isn't a member here anymore. It was my furkids favorite toy.

Sometimes you can find them at walmart, petco, etc. I usually buy them when I find them but they don't have them too often.

Riley has a Ty Beanie Baby Squirrel whose tail is crinkly, he loves it! I bought it at Walgreen's in the pet section.

I have a crinkly bag I bought in the cat section at PetSmart. If you dog likes to burrow, it's big enough for a Yorkie or two.

Bailee has several dog toys with the crinkle sound. He loves the sound too.
