If you have a rubber chew toy, try rubbing something yummy on it. For instance, you can put a little peanut butter or Natural Balance Lamb Roll in a Kong. Be careful with the amount of peanut butter or lamb roll-- too much can cause diarrhea. You really only need enough for scent. (I also advise against the treats/stuffing that Kong sells to go with their toys)
You can also try softer chew toys, if you haven't already. I sew silly little shapes out of soft, but durable fabric and stuff them with inexpensive batting -- and they are washable. My 14 month old still loves chewing on these. Soft chews toys work as long as your pup isn't one to rip apart stuffed things -- those puppy teeth are like seam rippers! |
