I've seen this online before and thought it was a great idea but way too expensive. Then Petco had it for $30 (and it's out of stock, phooey) and I said I would get it if I can get it at that price.

Do you have one, or know anyone who does? Do your dogs like it? Is it worth the money? I am always looking for fun, interactive-type toys for my dogs.

Check out e-bay, I saw it for $24.95 plus $8.00 shipping. Hope this helps.

I'll have to take a look. I looked on ebay a week or so ago, and was seeing $40 plus $22.99 shipping!!! :confused:


EDIT: I just looked and don't see anything under $40.

These toys are fantastic!!

If you have a dog that is into food, they will love these. If your dog is not food motivated, they may not like them as much.

The Nina Ottosson toys come in a wooden and plastic verison.

P.S. I can't say enough about these toys. I LOVE them!

I bought this on Petco.com a few days ago. It took forever to get them back in stock, and they are out of stock again. They are on sale for $29.99, so that's why! When I get it and try it out, I'll post the results. And yes, my dogs are VERY food oriented!! ;)

I wanted to post about the Nina Ottosson Dog Magic toy we ordered from you. The kids all love it, we've had great fun with them trying to get to the treats!

Ah thanks, they sure are fun.

FYI to those wondering about out of stock toys.

The manufacturer is out of stock in many of the toys and has been for a about 3 months (:mad:). The estimated time for them to be back in stock is the beginning of March (:)). I've also heard rumors of new styles as well!

I can't wait!

The reviews on it on Amazon are good for the most part.

Thanks for posting! I may buy one of these interacitve toys for my babies. Mine are picky about their toys and I have a hard time finding ones for them.

My order got cancelled by Petco because of lack of stock and them having no clue when they would be back in stock. :( I even told them they could hold my money ransom that whole time if I could still get it at the sale price. It was a no go.

Just in general they won't be able too.

In the retail world there is a certain markup that is considered standard that companies follow. The manufacturer of the plastic toys was alerted to the fact that petco was not selling these toys anywhere close to this mark up (why there were sooo cheap) and told them they could no longer be selling them at this price or they wouldn't be getting any more. Thus the reason for the price increase you see online at Petco.

I know Nina Ottosson is coming out with some new plastic toys soon, so I am super excited to get them in!

This toy is brilliant. We bought one here in the UK for £25.00
The 7month old German shepherd, who is from a working line, does it so quickly. Our adult German shepherd can do it but takes his time and Alfie our yorkie just isn't bothered really. A very good toy though, we got it from our local pet shop.

For those of you with cats, they love them as well!

It really is quite comical to see both my dog and cat trying to play with it.

i saw them in Marshalls and TJ max; they have a pet section; you have to look for them. they are about 20 to 30 dollars there.

We have the Brick one, we got from Poochie Heaven and Zoey ABSOLUTELY LOVES LOVES LOVES this. We will be investing in more, but have to pace ourselves ;)

i was thinking the same thing about morgan but instead of barking at it she just stops playing with it and stares at me. its like she's saying "mom its too hard, can you do it for me?" LOL

There are several levels and then I even think levels of the levels.

My dog isn't very food motivated, so he wouldn't try the hard ones, but because he can smell the food in the dog magic, he will use it.

My cat and dog also both use the brick- again because it is pretty easy :)
