My Yorkie is scared of Squeeky Toys!!! She absolutely hates them! :doghop: it's as if she has been traumatised!! But I know for a fact she hasn't as I've had her since 8 weeks old. She's got a pink heart toy, it's tiny with a slight squeeker in it - she started playing with it and it squeeked! Now she wont go near it and she blames me. Lol xXx |
Bubby was scared of them, too My son has a mixed breed dog he calls Bubby and when he was really small he was scared of the squeek toys, too. Now he is almost a year old and he isn't scared of them, but doesn't volunteer to play with them or any other toys. |
Awww, maybe he'll get over his fear as he grows. Remi is and always has been scared to death of balls. Except tiny ones like the little superballs or kitty ones. Roxy loves balls - any size - the bigger, the better. I guess they are like people and have different fears. |
Ahh at least you get silence at play time my little Jai cant get enough of them any size or style if it squeeks he'll have it. He has a basket full of toys they are all squeeky he evens goes into the pet shop and picks his own... if it don't squeek he don't want to know.. |
Ut oh I already almost bought out petsmart (feels like it) for my new baby. I sure hope he likes squeaky toys |
When Violet was about 14 weeks, a friend of mine bought her a ball with a bell inside, that jingled when it rolled. Violet was terrified!! But eventually she came around and started playing with it, and now it is one of her favorite toys. Maybe he'll outgrow the fear? |
Tinky hated those balls with bells too! She was so wary of it - but I've tied some string to one and and now she loves it! xXx |
Molly was afraid of a lot things too like squaky toys until I had her for a few weeks and she played with some other bigger dogs who had a lot of bigger louder toys. Now she's not afraid of anything really except the vacuum cleaner. ;) |
