Biggie got his 1st piece of mail today (other than vet stuff)! It was an invite to participate in Petco's 1st Annual "I Love My Pet" Doggie Fashion Show! There will be a best dressed pet contest, complimentary pawdicures, grooming tip and demos and a free gift for canine participants.

It's on Sunday (13th) Day before Valentines Day. I'm unsure of what "outfit" I can come up with to dress Biggie in?! Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe a Valentine's Day theme but I thought majority of ppl would do that. I was also trying to find a Detroit Piston's Basketball jersey since we're the current national champs. But they seem hard to find! I found a Lakers one [boo].. but not a Piston's one. :(

Do you all have this in your area? We usually go to Petsmart but they just opened a new Petco in the area. I'll be sure to post pictures of the event.

Where it says Teams on the bottom, click on that and you'll see Detroit Pistons.

I plan on buying Hercules a Redskins jersey from there sometimes soon...

^^ thanks for the link!! I had emailed them to inquire about what the actual jersy looks like and it's not exactly what i was looking for... I wanted one that looked like the actual Pistons jersey. Similar to this one from the SportyK9 site:

it looks just like the lakers jersey. I guess this site sells "offically licensed" jerseys. Thanks anyway!! Hopefully we'll be able to find one before the show. :)

I wrote them that they should have Pistons jerseys since we're the current champs but they have yet to respond!! :o

it's actually not too bad, the jersey is $24.00. the jacket more expensive at around $44.00, but it's a jacket!

Yeah, that's not bad at all. I'll have to bookmark that page then and maybe I'll get Herc's Redskins jersey from their instead!

If you have a Build-A-Bear store in your area, try that for your pistons shirts. I am an Anaheim Angel fan (in fact my two yorkies are named for my fave players) and I got them Angels (MLB licensed) at Build A Bear for $5 each and regulation bb caps for $6.

Wow, I've never seen pet sports jerseys like that. That's cool! I wonder if there's any way to stencil Biggie's name and a number 1 on it? :)

he was so excited to have the jersey the only way i could get him to sit still was with a treat...hehe

it's a little bit big in the front (it hangs) but it still fits pretty well for bear clothing!! :p

how big is Biggie? I wonder is the build-a-bear shirts would also fit Mojo...

Biggie looks so handsome in his new jersey...he will be breaking puppy hearts at petco!!

"Babbie" Biggie is about 4-5lbs, 1 year old and the Build-a-bear jersey is a little big in the front (this chest area) you can't really tell in the pictures. I'll probably have to alter it a little bit, maybe sew it in the front so his arm doesn't come out of it and so he won't pee on it.. hehe.

humm...it looks soo nice tho, can;t tell it needs alteration by the pictures! Biggie looks really comfortable in it..:D I wish it would fit Mojo, but he is 7lbs, i guess will be too small for my HULK boy...heheheh
