thanks for the link, found a couple stores near by, have to try them ! |
Baxter absoultely LOVES the chew. He is on his second one. The only store in the state of Maine that carries them is 2 hours away, so we ordered two online. And because of the price, we ordered the big ones, Well Baxter took a week and finally finished it. Everytime I walked by him he thought I was going to take it, so he took off into another room away from me lol. We did go to that store and bought 2 more for back up. Bax also has a sensitive tummy, and I was leary of them, but since they are all natural I figured what the heck. Well he has had no problem with them at all. That is all I am going to give him for a chew now. I would recomend them for everyone!!! :thumbs_up :thumbs_up :thumbs_up |
Oh I should have also mentioned that Baxter had no problem with choking with these either. It seems like they don't get pieces off of them, but have to more or less scrape away at the bone. |
the video i posted explains which size is best for weight of dog along with what it is...so for your baby i would assume a size small... |
I've been thinking about these every since the first post about them, and I've been thinking about getting one, but.....I'm wondering a couple of things: 1. They are imported from Nepal, right? I read on their website that they have been tested in American laboratories, but I'm still wondering what everyone thinks as far as this being a SAFE product?? After all those recalls from getting contaminated products from China, I'm leery about buying things not made in the USA (though I know they can sometimes be just as bad ). So, do you think I'm silly for being cautious with this product?? 2. Bella likes to chew ANY of the things we've given her to chew RIGHT ON MY LAP (rawhides, which she doesn't get anymore, and bully sticks). I don't give her any of those things anymore, because when she's on my lap, the squishy wet is right on my lap making a wet spot. And, if she's not on my lap, she's on the couch next to me.....the bully stick made a wet spot but also left a layer of.....I don't know, something white-ish when it dried. So, do these turn into soggy wet slimeballs when they are chewing them, or do they stay relatively dry (like her Nylabone does)?? (I mean, at least as dry as something can be when they're being chewed anyway! :) ) Those 2 things are the only thing holding me back, but if I get some reassurance, you can bet that Bella will LOVE these too.....I'd love to get her some! |

I made a special trip into the City to the only shop that is carrying these chews at the moment, spent $10.95 for a pkg. of the small size and Rosie just turns her nose up at them ...... not interested in them at all. |
Bella Too I bought a package of Himalayn dog chews, a Bully Stick and a Deer Antler for Bella online. She turns her nose up at the Himalayn thingy, Occasionally chews for a minute or two on the Antler then runs away and hides it, And of course loves the stinky Bully Stick, PU. I keep giving it too her hoping she will eventually start chewing on it, but not yet.:aimeeyork |
 What on earth is a *Bully Stick* ?? I contacted the breeder when Rosie turned her nose up at the Himalayan Chew and asked if she had been much of a chewer before I got her. Apparently she wasn't a great chewer but did like the *Bully Sticks* ..... I'll get her some if I knew what they are. Do they really stink ?? The breeder said to definitely stay away from rawhides (which I would never give a dog anyway) and *Greenies* ... whatever in the heck those are ..... roflol !!!!! I have a visual in my head but I don't think that is what they are :D |
Yes they are stinky I heard something about Bully sticks being the muscle in a bull penis. I don't know if this is true but they are so stinky I will not touch them especially after they have been chewed and are wet and gooey. But unfortunately Bella love to chew on them, I haven't found any thing else she will chew on. yuck! yuck! yuck!:( |
LoL !!!!!! ....... well, I know some crafts people do make walking sticks out of bull penis but I never knew doggy chews would also be a by-product ;) I'm going to have to research this a little more :) |
I randomly picked these up from my specialty dog store the other day and my girls LOVE them! If you have problems getting them because the store is far away look into getting them shipped to you from the store. I have a friend that does this.... Also check out the sweet potatoe chews, the number 2 seller after the above mentioned chews... |
