What a horrible night!!!!! Tricksie has had the Everlasting Treat Ball all of her life. She might play with it for 2 days and forget it for a week. Last night, we are ready for bed, she sleeps with us, she brought that ball to bed, licking and chewing, we could not sleep. I took it away from her and put it on the top of the counter in the bathroom. We leave a night light on, usually with the door opened but she was so obsessed with that damn ball, so we pulled the door almost shut, all night I hear her opening that door to get into the bathroom. At 4 AM, I could not take it anymore, no sleep. I gave her the ball and she wanted to play, I didn't. Came into the Family Room, turned on the TV, layed on the sofa, she grabs that ball and puts it next to me and cuddled with me and that ball and went night, night. The next morning, her first choice is to "eat", made her breakfast, she ate, grabbed that ball like me were going to take it away again. She has not touched it again. She does not want anyone to mess with "Her Stuff".:D |
LOL! They sure can be little stinkers! That's happened a few times here...either Libby or Maddie brings a chew thing to bed and when I finally put it up, all they want is to get it. Glad you finally got some sleep on the sofa! |
Sounds like my lil Romeo! I've learned (yes, he has me well trained:)) not to take away his toys or he'll throw a fit!! He'll want it even more, I guess it turns into a game for him!! So now we let him do what he wants so atleast we can get our rest and not fall asleep at work the next day;) |
Awwww that's cute, as long as it wasn't me who could not sleep:rolleyes: I went threw the samething with Buddy. Broken sleep and I don't see eye to eye. I no longer allow toys in the bedroom at bedtime or he' will be jumping on and off the bed most of the night playing keeping me awake. He cried for a few nights but once he got threw that we both sleep until the alarm goes off. I open the door and hes out searching for his favorite baby when we get up:p |
I am usually in bed before the DH comes home. Leave the bedroom door open and she has to bring all of her toys with her into the bedroom,to go night, night. I try to hide them but she knows where they are. . She is too smart. She has to have ,"HER STUFF" at all times. |
Oh, my! That's life with a yorkie. You never know what they're going to do next. I can just see her cuddling next to you with her treat ball.:p |
Sorry you had such a bad night but I think its cute shes so attached to her ball. My Chachi has a favorite toy like that and brings it to bed also |
That is so cute!! |
Donna, how funny! It sounds like a classic case of YOCD - Yorkie Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Chizzie is that way over her ball. |
My god that reminds me of a few I have,lol....Isn't it amazing how determined and stubborn they can be?? I hope you get some rest! |
Well, Kayla's favorite toy is her cow. She can make this thing moooooooooo all night long. I think I am going to have to take their treat ball away from them and just let them have it for awhile each day. They are eating more treats than their food. I put cheerios and small kibble in their ball but they will eat that before the meal. So, I think out goes the ball for awhile and I should give that cow a toss. She would have a fit. |

How are you doing? Are you back to work? We need some yummies. |
Gwen doesn't do the toys in the bed thing, she does the ":eek:There is another DOG in the bed thing!" and jumps all over them all night, then if they get down she goes to bed but when they come back up, the war is back on! |
