Need To find a good TOY!!! I have two little guys who are both teething, they seem to loose interest in their toys and would rather chew on the walls of their Xpen or even worse the walls of our house or bottoms of the couches. I need to find a good toy that will stand up to their teething so badly! |
For chewers, the Everlasting Treat Ball is fantastic. If you want a good reasonably priced "thinking toy" try Amber's Squeaker Jax and Crackle Jax. |
i got baby chewing toys... i figured if they were safe enough for my teething grandkids they would be safe enough for my pups. my 3year old yorkie still has her favorite one and my 10 month grandson always wants it... you should see my yorkie eyeball him... lol |
Rope toys are great for teething, my boys LOVE them. I also give them bully sticks to chew on. There are also lots of good dental chews that you can buy at PetSmart. |

I agree with chattiesmom Ambers toys are the best i know Gracie LOVES them!!! as for your baby chewing on the wall.. and everything else... there is this spray that you can get from petco or petsmart that you spray where he/she chews and its suppose to taste really bitter to them to make them stop chewing on whatever surface you put it on... Im not sure what its called maybe someone can tell you?? sorry I hope this helps... also Gracie likes to chew on my old meds bottles... good luck! |
Kongs always work for me. They sell them at Petsmart. They have a teething Kong that's extra rubbery so it feel good for them and also has little indentations to put the Kong paste in and it keeps my babies busy for hours... Also not a toy but a treat, my puppy love to chew on bully sticks for hours... |

Leo has several rope toys. I also purchased a fabric ball for him and a faux sheep wool pillow as big as him. He is another chewer. He also enjoys his rawhides (I buy different ones - the small bone shape and today I bought round ones). I found at a Target Store near me a teething type toy. It was in a $1 bin in the puppy isle. At first glance I thought it was for a kid. It was a blue rubber bone shape with little nubs. It can be frozen if his gums are swollen from teething and that soothes him or can be chewed at room temperature. He also has a KONG toy and loves the puppy stuffing filling. I guess you can say he got all the textures covered - lol. Trying to get any of Leo's toy is always funny - he sometimes sits on them like they are his prirate booty. :D The rope toys, fabric ball, and pillow are machine washable. The other toys (Kong and Teether) I put on the top rack of my dishwasher. Good luck with the teething babes. I found only two of my pups teeth and they were tiny. |
Toys I have noticed that Jack likes are in fact cat toys. He is 5 months old and just loves ripping those little cat mice you can buy at any WalMart. You just have to watch them very closely if you do give them those though because once they are damaged they can break apart the insides. As long as he is supervised, I don't see a problem with them. Another big toy I have noticed Jack likes is another type of cat toy which CAN stand up to him chewing on it. They are the little plastic balls with the bells in them. He loves the noise and chases it all over the apartment. Trust me what have bought the puppy tons of dog toys but he just isn't interested in them. Although, he now has been playing with this tiny stuffed rabbit with a squeaker in it. Good luck with the teething! |
