Kong? Prudence has small teeth! But she likes to chew and bite everyyyyyythingggggg. I was wondering what is a kong? what toys would she like? does anyone have pics? |
1 Attachment(s) Hot Rod LOVED the kong! He still likes it now but when we first got him, he would go nuts on it! Here is a picture of him with it. He would gnaw on it and gnaw on it! I found 2 different treats to stuff in it. I have not tried the can stuff or peanut butter. |

I would definitely suggest buying a kong, both of my dogs love them. I fill them with things such as their food, cheerios, peanut butter, kong stuffing, etc., and it keeps them busy for a bit. They're good to give them when you're going out as well. |

Choosing the right Kong My maddie loves her Kong too. We actually got her the small Kong made for Yorkie sized dogs first and she loved it but had a hard time getting the treats out. I would actually start to frustrate her. I found that the puppy kong was easier for her and she chews on it for a long time. She loves it when we stuff her treats inside. I do have on quick question. For those of you who put peanut butter inside, do you freeze it? I heard someone once say that they put peanut butter in it and then put it in the freezer. If you don't, do you find that it makes a mess? |

Nikki is at the chewing stage right now too. She loves the baby Kong, and Dr. Noys dog toys (tiny size) she loves to bite the middle and it squeaks, and a chicken flavored Nylabone (tiny size).......she has tons of other toys, but those are the one's she has for chewing. As with any toy........make sure you supervise them and thow the toy away if it gets worn so they don't swallow anything.:) |

Kongs are great. They have so many different varieties now. (Rubber Kongs, Tennis ball material kongs called air kongs and wubbas...) You should google kong toys or toys for small breeds. You should find lots of different products. |
Wow, those look so cool, and I like the idea to give them the kong before you leave! They need something to entertain them while I'm gone. |

Spike has three kong toys, and he loves them. He has a small and medium sized kong, and a kong ball. I fill them with kibble, and them plug the hole with a small amount of wet food and freeze it. It keeps him busy while I'm trying to sleep! |
