is this allright to do ? need advice o, here it is, sammy loves toys that squeak or make any type of noise. he goes crazy. i bought a chicken that squeaked and tore it apart in 30 seconds. so i threw it out. now today i bought him a stuffed toy that makes all weird sounds , and he is bezerk . he is shaking it violently back and forth, biting it and humping it. he is growling also. he is totally out of breath. i must admit it is very very funny to see him so crazy, because he is so laid backed all the time and these things make him nuts. my question is, is this good fun for him , or am i making him into a nut job? i need advice, thanks elle |
I think it's O.K, I don't see how it can hurt him. I think they need to "let it all out" like that sometimes, and I know it's soo funny to watch!!! |
i know it is funny , but i am concerned into making him violent. and this is the first time i ever saw him hump anything. |
What we do - when I feel that the "play" is crossing the line into "obsession", I just take the toy away for awhile and redirect Coby to something else. I think that Sammy is probably fine and just having a good time. But if you start to wonder about him getting a little too focused on the toy, just try trading it for something different. I've seen the panting and crazed look in the eye. That's when I try to distract him to something else. Good Luck!! |
For my Coby~ Great post! I agree they are sooo funny to watch but I too would be asking the same question... I like For my Cobys response and I will use her advice if ever the need arises... Its just like skin kids positive reinforcement... Sammy~ You be a good boy and give your mommy laughter she will never forget! HEHE |

Well, Tonight I Let Him Play Again And He Is Wild. I Have Not Seen Him So Wild , And Of Course He Was Humping The Toy Like Crazy . I Took It Away And Then Tried To Get Him To Play With Something Else, And He Calmed Down A Bit , But One Of The Cats Came By And Tried To Wrestle With Him And He Started To Hump The Cat, I Think He Was Too Agressive And Had To Stop Him Right Away. I Just Thought It Was Good For Him To Get Some Good Fun Exercise, Besides Thinking It Was A Scream To Watch Him. |
