Why are majority of the toys Made in China??? I want to give my baby fun toys to play with... but majority of them are Made in China!! I really dont trust their products. Does anyone have suggestions on a toy that is non toxic, made in the usa, and I could find locally??:animal36 :D Thanks |
Purchase a few from YT'ers. I just ordered a couple from Amber. She makes the fleece ones and other's. Lot's of the companies are USA owned but it's cheaper to make them there and ship them back over to the USA. Dog Treats as well. I had to stop buying Buddy's favorite even though it was USDA approved but packaged in China. They can keep it! |
Ellie loves latex/plastic squeaky balls. I have found ONE made in the US and she has three different colors.:) You can get it at Petsmart. It is made by ToyShoppe, I believe. Most of this company's products are made in China though, so be careful. This ball isn't exactly round and has fleece attached to both sides. I just rip that off... |
To answer the question in the title, because pretty much EVERYTHING is made in China! It's cheaper labor there, and there's a lot more reasons I learned in my trade and tarriff class last year, but I forgot. |
I have some squeaky plush bone shaped toys that I personally make myself: http://tinkerbellscloset.com/items/t...toy-detail.htm http://tinkerbellscloset.com/items/t...toy-detail.htm http://tinkerbellscloset.com/items/t...toy-detail.htm http://tinkerbellscloset.com/items/t...toy-detail.htm and the toys that Amber makes are awesome   My girls love those! |
West Paw Design makes most of their toys here. They are kind of pricey though. You could go to their website and ask for a list of toys made in the US. |
Yep... its kinda crazy... and a little frustrating. When shopping for my GE buddy, I was going crazy trying to find SOMETHING that wasnt made in China... but the majority of our retail comes from there  |
