Kong cleaning!! How in the world am I suppose to get the extra peanut butter spray out of the small Kong? Riley's tongue isn't long enough to get it all out. Now its just stuck in there on the sides. I've used hot water and soap and its not budging!! Anyone have any ideas? TIA!!:D |
I found this... I thought you could put in te dish washer :D http://dogs.thefuntimesguide.com/200..._kong_toys.php |
I think a baby bottle cleaner works good! |
I use a baby bottle brush cleaner and a nipple brush for the smaller end. Works like a charm! |
I put mine in the dishwasher when it looks really gunky. I see in a previous post that that can break them down quicker. But, I rather have to replace more often than think they were germ laden. Just my thoughts:) |

Linda here and new to Yorkie Talk. I put straight peanut butter in the Kong. I squeezed it on the sides to push up peanut butter. Worked. You could probablly insert a small toothbrush inside and brush it out. I stuck mine in the dishwasher. I'm not sure what I think about the kong. Ruby hasn't given it a whole lot of interest. |

Hi - Kong now makes a cleaner brush to get out all of the left over stuff our little ones cannot get out. I saw it at PetsMart for about $7.00. |

We don't have a Kong (no rubber toys here...because of my picky two)...but from past topics regarding this....the top shelf in your dishwasher works well and the baby bottle brushes (I think someone mentioned a double headed one - bigger brush one end and smaller brush the other end). I bet you can do a search here on YT and type in Kong Recipes and find tons of them! I think I remember seeing some threads started about this awhile back. Here's what I found for "stuffing your kong": http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...t=kong+recipes http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...t=kong+recipes http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...t=kong+recipes http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...t=kong+recipes |
