These are so cute! I always liked the Korker bows but they were too big so I will have to check these out and try them on my next order :-) |
Adorable korkers! Going to order some mini's and other bows now, even though Zoe's hair has to grow some more after her recent "trim" to fit a bow. I want to be prepared. Thanks for the notice! |
Emma is adorable! Armani will have to join the Mini Korker bows club. :) |
2 Attachment(s) Beamer's Mini Korker bow arrived (with the rest of my order) I love the Mini Korker! Got to get more next order. They are a perfect size. (Beamer had just come in from the yard, and I didn't brush him before I took the picture so he looks a little "straggly") |

yay These look so great! I have been looking on the net for ones that don't look ultra girly since our baby is a boy. The ones on your site even passed the hubby test :D. I will be sure to be getting some together for when he is old enough to wear them. I do have a couple questions though. When did you all first start to use them? I wanted to make sure he won't hate them as an adult and what type of backing is best for a younger pup once they start having enough hair and can tolerate it? Thanks :D |

To answer your questions... As far as 'bow training', I'd recommend you start with only a simple band (not pulled too tight) just so that your little guy gets used to having something in his hair. Once he gets accustomed to that, try a lightweight bow (a tiny 3/8" size with a lightweight center) and let him get used to that. From there (depending on what size he is), you may want to step up in size to a lightweight 5/8" bow (again nothing to heavy in the center). Basically, you're just gradually getting him used to having something in his hair. If you start off with some big foreign object on his head, chances are he won't like it. As far as backings go, again I'd start with bands simply because a) bands are the lightest backing; and b) as an active young guy there is more of a chance he'll get the bow off and possibly chew on it (and you don't want him chewing metal barrettes/clips). You could move to a different backing when he's a bit older and/or when you can watch him while he's wearing his 'manly' bows. I hope that helps a bit. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I'm always around and happy to help. :) |
