How Many Dog Beds Do You Buy ? :d HOW MANY DOG BEDS DO YOU BUY ? :D My hubby goes nuts at me for "wasting money" on yet more dog beds !:D Well they are so cute and snuggly ! For my three Yorkies I have 10 beds (so far !) I keep seeing really nice ones and just imagine them in it, and my hubby says....oh no not another one ! He says I am not wise and have a problem, lol My favourate one is a house in a carousell shape - domed roof and everything. It has felt horses all crocheted on, all round it, and has red walls, with the horses each being a different colour felt, shiney bits and different threaded manes and tails - and it has a purple roof. It looks like the one that used to be on Trumpton ! It was only ?12 !!! that's CHEAP ! Now I am hounded out of pet-shops before I go and buy another ! Both cars are full of beds, and both my three seater and two seater in the livingroom (no-where to sit) and there's two here by the computer, hee hee ! :animal-pa DEBRA |
morgan has three beds and four blankets, plus two of my blankets LOL |
LOL -- I have 4 dogs and only 4 dog beds -- course that does not count the King one in our bedroom that DH and I used to think was ours. My weakness is carriers -- have no idea why but I have 6 carriers + a small and a medium crate that can be used for travel. I am going to sell some of the carriers on here one of these days. No way can I use all of these. But I think I have narrowed it down to a couple of favorites. They seem to like being together best, so the Longaberger one I just bought from a YT member is looking like their favorite. It is large and is on wheels. Hubby has asked me to stop with the carriers. He said, "do you like that one?" I said "yes, it is perfect." So, he said, "then that means no more, RIGHT?" Guess I found his limit. ;) |
Yea! I'm so glad your dogs picked the Longaberger carrier as their favorite, sorry about your husband's response though. :) I have several carriers & crates but I think my real weakness is the beds. I just got my second dog (a Maltese) but I already had 6 beds for one dog & now have added 2 more, a cottage style wooden one & an iron one. The last two will hold a regular sized bed pillow so that I can change out shams to suit my mood/season. The saddest thing about all of that though is that right now the new puppy is using a folded up fleece blanket for his bed. I like to wash them frequently and his are all in the wash.:( Quote:

Where on earth did you find the carousel one?:D Sounds amazing ! The pet shops near here only stock the usual boring plastic ones orbean bags. Tanzy has a big squashy cushion with two big Edinburgh Woollen Mill blankets on top, tucked in at the side of my bed. Daytime she uses the sofa :) What I really want, now she can't walk very far with her heart condition, is one of those pet strollers :D My husband threatens divorce of I get "a dog pram" :D |
:) Doortego - you will just have to get another one then lol....you have an excuse now !!! :) Meggie - I have also talked about getting a stroller and my Mum has suggested an old wifies' shopping trolley....eeeeek !!! My hubby was laughing at that one, and said no way would he walk with us ! It would be good for the rain, as once they get wet, they shiver and won't walk even with coats - often their paws are red with cold, so I usually let them filthy the inside of my good jacket to warm them up and keep them dry. :) Carousel bed - I went 35 miles to Elgin in Morayshire, Scotland to get it. If you want one, they would order one in for you if you described it. It is ?12.00, and is about a metre high by a metre wide. The address is The pet shop, (Birnie's), 200, High Street. Elgin. Morayshire. IV30 IBA You can google for the phone number. I also got a "cheese wedge" one which is the same make....can't remember the name. It was ?11.00, and comes in pieces which zip together to make a triangular house. I have seen a barrel shaped one you zip together as well....but I actually didn't buy that one, lol !!! There is a lovely fleece house you get that has pawprints all over it....I would just love to buy that one...it is really padded and bouncy, and looks so snuggly ! I think that one is about ?35.00 though !!! :animal-pa DEBRA x x x x |
The carousol bed sounds so adorable I want to sleep in it:D I have had my eye on another one for Buddy. It's round but very large for a Yorkie. I can imagine him snuggled in the middle of it. I only have one for him because he sleeps in it only at night in my room. After seeing all your posts I'm buying the round one this weekend:p |
Ok girl step away from the register....lol. Ten beds is a bit much unless you own a mansion. Where do you put them all. I had two beds in a three bedroom house but I went down to one because they favored that one and always want to snuggle together anyhow. |
Ferdinand only has one, but I've been looking all over for another. I saw one at a family friend's house - it was shaped like a huge, flat teddy bear - about 3 feet long. I can't find one anywhere though. |
:D Hey post a picture of all your beds. I would love to see the carousel one. |
I have 3 dogs and 7 beds....so far lol |

Those last two beds sound really nice. I would like a bed that I could just replace pillow in easily. Did you buy them online? If so, could you share the site? Now that I realize we are bed-challenged with so few, I may have to rectify that. ;) Thanks in advance. |
Pics on their way later....had to wipe computer other day, so will reload software and put pics up later on ! By the way....it's a two bedroomed house, three Yorkies and 10 beds ! Ooooooh just thought of the other thred I was going to put up and forgot about....horror of horrors....wait until you read this new one, lol !!!!:D :animal-pa DEBRA x x x x |
Oh, if I was going to include my other animal's beds, I'd be adding one more dog bed and two cat beds, as well as the ten Yorkie beds;) |
