Pup Clothes in UK I have been comparing prices of american dog clothes and English dog clothes and the prices are soo different. Uk sellers charge about £10.00 for one t-shirt, whereas in usa i can order two t-shirts for that price! I just ordered 3 hoodies and 7 t-shirts from a lovely lady at www.barkindogclothes.com it cost me about £50.00 inc p&p, for that price here in the UK i could only have got like 4 t-shirts! This is why i always buy from America, does anyone know any cheap uk sellers? :) |
i guess not then lol :p ;) |
sorry i don't know of any. I do know that my cousin and her husband who live in Stoke on Trent come here to visit every few years and boy to they shop. They say the prices are so much cheaper over here. |

I don't know where you can get T shirts, sorry. Tansy just has little dog coats from the pet shop and some little dog jumpers that I've knitted for her. The T shirts could be good in summer though. When I'm working in the garden she wanders round everywhere & when we come in I have to spend ages getting all the little bits of leaves & twigs out of her coat. |
I get mine from US.As you say they are cheaper.I have just bought some sewing patterns for dog,so I'm going to have a go myself.A bit of modification and I should be able to make most things:) Meggie, did you get your wool sorted out? |
Not really. They did try to help but it wasn't really what i neede to know. I was directed to a site that gave wool equivalents but it was all still between US brands using their terms. I was advised about tension squares, but I knew that, it's more knowing what to buy to be fairly right. They said worsted was plain old wool that children use, so i'm going to assume that's double knitting & try that. You should see the patterns in the books I got though......sequins & everything!:D One was bought for me (Christmas gift) cos it had two cute Yorkies in sequins on the cover :) Where did you manage to get the doggy sewing patterns? :dogzzz: :cheer: :yay_jump: Aren't the smilies on here brilliant! |
3 Attachment(s) I usually knit my 2 jumpers or wear coats. However I did get these nice hoodies from Au Natural for ?5 and I have also seen t-shirts in next etc I got some nice coats for my 2 from next.:D |
I went in Next but they said it was mail order only.I was told New Look had them ,looked today and nothing:( Meggie, one pattern came off Ebay from US,the other 2 from www.habithat.co.uk I think one of my knitting books is the same as yours,2 little Yorkies called Belle and Max in pretty sequin sweaters:) Yes there are lots of smilies:D My husband gets quite jealous because he dosn't get half as many on his forums.:we're #1: :yorkietal :dogwalk: :yay_jump: |
That's a great link to the pattern site, thankyou. I didn't know Simplicity did so many dog patterns!:) And I'd no idea that Next sold dog coats either. It's definately the same knitting book we've got. I was given another two as well that are good. One's a Hamlyn one using mostly Rowan yarns, so they're easy to get, & the other one is American by Judith L. Swartz. If I get round to knitting all of them I'll have to buy her a wardrobe! Is the Au Naturel you got them from the interiors & fancy goods shop, Juliealfiesmum? There's a small branch of theirs on an out of town shopping site not too much of a drive from me. :animal36 :woof: |
try ebay.co.uk, i have bought many there, prices ranging from ?2 |
You can get Next on the internet as well! Also try Monsoon. |
