6 years old in august. not good with children that live with her but ok with visiting if they dont overpower or corner her. nice dog who gets on with other dogs and cat(can chase them sometimes but at present lives with 3 of them and now and again she likes to tell them whos boss!!). Needs home asap as at present is kept away from 3 year old as she has taken a real diislike to. I have had her since 6 weeks old and has always being on our bed and loves going for rides in the car. needs a home where she can still sleep on the bed and travel in a car and sit on your knee in the evening for a groom. or tickle of her tummy. She needs to loose a few pounds but she is a real character. homes will be checked. thankyou

Sweet little Perry - a beautiful 7 yr old Yorkshire Terrier lad. Castrated and been in kennels now too long. Looking for a loving caring home where he will be pampered properly for the rest of his days.

it seems to be the general way of thinking (more so here tan un the US i think) that to get a yorkie you have to buy it- they are expensive dogs so there is no way anyone would 'get rid'? wrong! check out your local shelters and pounds.. did you know that as a rule every city pound will have a yorkie every other week at least? and the bigger the area covered by the pound the higher the anual pts rate of yorkies.

many shelters have lists of dogs (availale at the front desk) who need rehomed but not urgently enough to be surrendered into kennels, so you may find your baby there... or you could put your name on a waiting list to be notified as soon as a suitable yorkie comes in?
9/10 the owner who surrenders to the shelter will give a full history with the dog- and there is no monetary incentive to lie as they are not seling their dog from the home. many rescues will even have their medical documents in a folder along with them!
