Fireworks Oh dear, here we go again. They've started already. Luckily my lot are not too frightened by them. My littlest one has decided they're a personal affront. Last night she was out in the garden for a wee when a huge rocket exploded over the village. She cracked off, bouncing up & down, cursing & swearing at it. That set the rest of them off, barking at every bang! If I had my way I'd make it law that they could only set them off on November 5th itself........or better still dig up Guy Fawkes to do the job properly this time :D :D |
Know just what you mean, my others used to be territied luckily Alfie & Rosie aren't though Alfie does bark like mad. Had to turn the T.V up on Saturday to drown the noise out. Think most people are getting fed up with them going off constantly, just a few idiots who have no consideration for anyone elses feelings. |
Not had any going off yet - but live in the boonies! Since Bluebelle gets cross with the surround sound, I think it's going to be a bit of a trauma! |
My Alfie is terrified of them at least where we stay it only really happens a few days aroound the 5th but it is a nightmare for him! We have tried everything to no avail.:( At least Lottie is not bothered by thm too , but I hope she does not start copying Alfie!! |

Wish we could as well but as I was reminded somewhere else Britian is now multi cultural and the weekend was the sikh festival of light when they have there fireworks  |
Was it? Didn't know that. It would just be idiots up here though. I live in a tiny village & there are no sikhs. xx Meggie |
Your idiots must be related to the ones around here. They go out, let off a couple, then a few more. then wait until the next night a few more. About time they changed the law back so they could only be sold the week of bonfire night. Wont stop them letting them off later but they wouldn't have so much access to them later. |
Thankfully Teddy doesn't mind them too much, we just tell him it is the " Pretty fireworks " as we have taught him those words, and that they won't hurt him, if he barks at them, we say " Good guardog " where is your toys and he gets a toy and isn't bothered by them anymore. I know we are fortunate, our other two (sadly no longer with us now) Used to hate them, no matter what we did. |
we've had fireworks here this week and Cleo is terrified of them and Max doesn't seem that bothered but bark every now and again because Cleo bark. |
My older dog Jess is terrified of them I am dreading them starting again this year. Our pup has not had the experience yet... |
