Training classes Finally found a training class close by. They do a puppy class so I'm thinking of enrolling Rosie as she has switched from being timid of larger dogs to being overly friendly, something that can get her into trouble around here. If it works with Rosie I'll book Alfie in to iron out a few issues he's developed, like trying to kill every motor bike that passes, oh and every white cat, who just happens to resemble poor Lizzie. Dont know which I dred the most, or who'll embarress me the most. |
Good luck! I'm looking for classes, but think that maybe Belle is getting too old and they may not take her - need for her to get the all-clear on her leg, then I will try and find one! Tell us how it goes :) |
Will do, the new group starts next Friday. Alfies too old for puppy classes but they do beginner classes for older dogs so once Rosie finises her puppy classes hus nibs is going. Poor people dont know what they're in for. |
Hope your Belles leg turns out to be o.kay, and you manage to find a class to suit her, the one I've found alows pups upto 11 months so maybe you'll have one near by that does too.:thumbup: |
Just found out today that all the places on the next puppy course have been booked. If I book Rosie into the next one she'll be 5.5 moths, getting to old in my book if not theirs, at that age, may as well just go for a beginner course, but I'd be too concerned about some of the bigger dogs who could be there because of aggression problems. Rosies problem is she's too friendly, and I worry that could lead her into just as much trouble. Started walking her with another dog and I'm hopeing it will calm her down as he's dominant but not aggressive, just not a push over like Alfie is. |
I found a class that will take us, it's a training class, not specifically a puppy class. They offer taster sessions and I thought I would see how it went. |
So plaesed you managed to find a class. I've started working on my two at home and on walks. It might take longer than with a class, but as their problem is being over friendly hopefully I shouldn'd make too many mistakes. |
