Breeder in Northern Ireland I lost my wee girl on Monday, and while I am not ready to get another pup yet, I would like to get an idea of who would have pups and when they would be ready. I tried to ring someone today to suss it out, and I couldnt make the call, so I am not sure how long it will take. I would not go back to the breeder I got her from. I realise now he was a backyard breeder, out to make a quick penny, though I dont have any regrets getting my Millie. I want someone who loves their pups the way I will, and who cares what happens to them. |
Hiya, I was so sorry to read about Millie. You can try by looking at the kennel club website. I've been told that to get on the site you just have to tick all of the boxes and I did call one of the breeders myself yesterday and wasn't impressed. So, I'd say treat the breeders with as rigorous an assessment as someone you find in the classifieds. There are no litters in Ireland at the moment, but you can ask the site to notify you when that changes. I think if you see breeders on there, even if you aren't ready and they are genuine, they can tell you when they plan the next litter and it might be when you may feel more ready. The only thing is that people only appear on here when they have the pups, so it's hard to prospect. I don't have a personal recommendation in N Ireland, but I'll ask my friends over there if they can point us to somewhere. Take care, hun. |
My first post () I'm sorry about your pup :(. This probably won't be of much help since I can't remember the actual name of the breeder (I was only 11 when we got her) but the breeder was from a place called Irvinestown in Fermanagh. She was a nice lady and I've met (purely by coincidence) someone else who got their yorkie from the same place. We found the breeder by seeing an adverstisement in the paper and my own yorkie was properly registered with the kennel club and everything when we bought her. I hope this was of some use to you, and again I'm sorry about your yorkie :(. |
