Fuel Prices In The UK
 
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: 99p per litre!!!! I thought I was seeing things at Tesco today!! Is it coming down across the country?

Yes - it is 99p up here in Cheshire too, at morrisons. That can only be good news, lets hope for more reductions to come...............

That's because crude oil came down to under $60/barrel because people have been conserving their use of gas. If we keep this up, the lower the price of crude oil drops. :thumbup: There is also news that gas in the home will drop this winter too!!

Gasoline has been dropping .10c a day for the last four days.
Today I paid 3.19 gal. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee better that the 4.99
almost 5wks ago.
I did hear that home heating oil has not yet dropped and the
government was going to look into it because price per barrel
has dropped. They said fines would be in order if companies did
not pass on the savings to home owners.

That sounds like a good idea. I'm hoping something will be done about the prices over here too, it certainly needs to be.

it was under a dollar here but has now gone back up to 1.03

96.4 at a local independant garage that have passed the savings on to the customers, that have been saved due to asking customers to pay upfront for the fuel. As its a small garage, they could not afford to bear the cost of people driving off without paying, it was either do this or close down. Apparantly this is very common, and the big petrol stations can take the cost.

I used to work at a petrol station in my village and we would have maybe 1 or 2 drive-offs a month. The petrol station in the next village along from me is a 24hr Jet and they make people pay upfront after 9pm too, and now I think about it the one going into town with is a Total is also 24hr and they do the same.
