Re-homing Teddy, the puppy - London area Hello, I just wrote a really long post and it's disappeared. Oh no! In short, I'm looking to re-home Teddy. Teddy is an adorable, 5-month old toilet trained Yorkshire Terrier Jack Russell mix. I got Teddy a couple days ago, from a family who was not treating him properly. (I had written out the whole store in the other posted that disappeared.) The previous owner, a single mum on a council estate with a disabled daughter fed Teddy on a diet of burger and chips! I wanted to wring their necks when I heard that! TEDDY PHOTO Unfortunately my Yorkie Fifi really doesn't not like the new puppy. It's upset the harmonic balance in my home. I'm hoping to recover the £250 I paid for him but I really want Teddy to a good family/individual. If you're interested, please let me know via Private Message Cheers, Angela |
Awww! He's very cute! Good luck rehoming him and thank you for rescuing him. I'm at full capacity here!LOL!What with 4 skinkids,3 furbutts and a whole host of other smaller pets!!! But keep us updated:D |
He is so lovely, I had to rehome a male yorkie pup at the beginning of the year as alfie was like fifi and did not like him in the home and because of this he started misbehaving. He was 16 weeks and far bigger than 8 month old Alfie at the time. He was able to get up on our kitchen table and poo all over it. :D Funny now but not at the time. I was able to recover the £300 I paid for him. I put him in the paper and there was alot of interest in him. He was so adorable and would have been lovely if he was the only dog in the house. The couple that took him had 3 children and were lovely and I know they are giving him all the love and attention he needs. (although, the kids wanted to take Alfie home instead. :D) Good luck with rehoming Teddy |
Thanks for your words of encouragement. Yesterday a pensioner expressed an interest in Teddy, but she wanted him for free, and would not negotiate. So I said, sorry. It did look like a good home for the rascal. And Teddy got along famously with her other dog. I'm willing to take less, but I am not a charity. |
More info about Teddy I got Teddy Friday night from a family in Essex. This family lived in a council house- single mum, disabled daughter, had a rotweiller, a bullmastiff and 3 ferrets. Teddy didn’t seem to be very well looked-after. I asked the Mum what she fed him. Her response, “Oh he eats burgers and chips.” Has he been vaccinated? “We don’t believe in vaccinations. That’s why my daughter is disabled” Has he been fixed? “What do you mean by fixed? Oh he still has his balls” Has he ever seen a vet? “Nope.” How does he get along with your other dogs? “Teddy’s whole head fits in our rotweiller’s mouth” I didn’t want to leave Teddy with the family one minute longer. So I went to a cash machine and withdrew £250 and gave it to them for the dog. And on top of that he had fleas! Anyhow, I’ve given him a flea bath. On Thursday I’m taking him for a vet check and to get his jabs. Then on the 30th I’m getting him microchipped. My Yorkie, Fifi, is possessive and has a bit of a mean streak in her. She doesn’t like the new dog sniffing around my flat. Teddy is a sweet gentle and curious dog. All he wants is for Fifi to play with him. Fifi, just wants to be left alone and snaps at Teddy. Teddy gets along with a few of the other dogs in the neighbourhood. I don’t know maybe eventually Fifi and Teddy will grow used to each other, but I’ve really upset the harmonic balance in my home. I’m looking to re-home Teddy to a nice family/individual. I want to get him check out by a vet first—as I wouldn’t want to pass along a dog that has problems. Also, as of now the dog has no papers, so I’m in the process of sorting that out. I just want verification that he has a clean bill of health. Really, I’m just trying to recover the £250 I put out for him. I don’t mind paying for the vet costs myself. Teddy is adorable. I would keep him myself if Fifi would ever get along with him Cheers, Angela |
