Pinkpixiepuff How exciting, puppies in two weeks :) Is Cleo a Yorkie, as I see you have other breeds? How is she doing? You must be able to feel them moving by now. I know it's her first litter, but is it yours? I'm getting quite broody for puppies thinking about it. My lot have had quite a few litters in the past as I've bred & shown for years, though not the Yorkies as they're just my pets (babies really :) ) I'll have to be patient now till my two young Skye girls are old enough. They're only 16 months old & have more maturing to do yet but then will have some puppies as there were only 37 Skye puppies bred all last year in the whole of the UK. They're at the top of the Kennel Club's At Risk British Native Breeds list with the Glen of Imaals, who just pipped them to most endangered by having one less puppy registered (36) last year. Let us know how she does, bet you're a mix of excitement & apprehension :) |
I love Skye Terriers! Do you have any pics? I'm glad your helping the breed, hopefully the numbers will pick up, it would be such a shame to loose such a beautiful breed in the UK!:thumbup::thumbup: |
Oh my gosh, im so sorry I didnt notice this thread sooner :) Ive been busy with little Cleo. Can feel them moving now certainly! I think there is 3 in there kicking up a fuss. She is getting really uncomfortable and fussy when it comes to dinner time, damn it! She now has a liking for pork or chicken and will only eat cuts of real meat!!!! I love skye terriers, havent really been in contact with them but they look gorgeous. You will need to get lots of pictures posted up for us to see! Im shocked at the small numbers that were bred :O ! I also have a Papillon (phalane) She is lovely but a little too much at the moment with preggo Cleo. So Lily is staying at my stepdads for the near future. She is only 8 months old herself and can't understand Cleo is grumpy and pregnant!!! Don't worry you will get regular updates :) Thanks!, Gemma |
