Harness with coat ...How? How do you solve the problem of wearing a harness & a coat at the same time? Do you buy a slightly bigger harness than their usual to fit over the coat? Or do you need to make a little hole in the coat where the lead clips on at shoulder level, & put the harness on under the coat? The answer is probably really obvious but escapes me at the moment! All the little coats I have are obviously meant to be worn with collars. I've never actually come across one to buy that seems to be made to wear with a harness. |
Look for a coat with a little hole in it so the d-ring on the harness can be pulled through and leash attached. If you can't find a coat with the little slit in it buy a larger harness to wear over the coat. Buddy has both! Some people are unaware that the coats do have a little slit on them because you can't really see it unless you look for it. Hope this helps you. |
^ Archie's right! For clothes that don't have a hole, I also sometimes just put the harness on, then the leash, and then the coat, so the leash comes out the back end of the coat. |
If you have a sewing machine that does button holes then just make one in the right place where the D ring would come...this is how I solved the problem when my yorkie wore jackets...:) |
Tino I put Tino`s harness over the top of this coat or jumper it`s the bast way i think, they get very cold if they are tiny |
