Also looking for a Yorkie pup in the Glasgow area Hi there!, I think its time I got a companion for my wee 1yr old yorkie Cleo. I keep looking everywhere and get nowhere! I can't spend more than £375 which causes the problem. I would prefer a KC reg pup if that is possible, but more than likely not for the price im offering. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great, Thanks a bunch!!!:aimeeyork |
Have you tried contacting the kennel club? |
4 Attachment(s) Do what I did when I just had my neutered Tara on her own since she was 6 weeks, .....when she was 3.5years, I went and bought a male boyfriend for her.(Casper) He was 19 months and £225. They are 7.7 years and 5.3 years now and still in love ! I bought another female(Tammy) in October 06 age 3 years for £100....She is 4.5years now. She was bad for competing with Tara until I got her neutered too, but she still likes to annoy Tara as she is cheeky....but has accepted that Tara is boss ! So that's my advice....look to rehome a dog from the small ads or from the internet....you often get them under a year, you can save on neutering, and they usually cost a lot less ! Also breeders often "run on" a dog until 16 weeks to see if they have the traits for the show-ring, and often something arises that makes them not as perfect as they thought....so they often have older puppies to sell, or ex stud dogs, breeding females. Also, you can get huge Yorkie pups in Aberdeenshire 20lbs or so for about £200....they grow to the larger of the Westie/Cairn size....Let me know if you want to know more about those. The two tinies I have bought as rehomers were never used for breeding....Casper was bought from the Stirling area, (Tara was bought at 6 weeks from Bathgate) and Tammy was bought from Aberdeenshire. All are fully pedigreed and have their papers. > their pics are below....all three of mine are 4lbs in weight. :) YOU WOULD BE BETTER GETTING CLEO A MALE COMPANION....no competing or fighting. :) :animal-pa Debra, Highland Scotland 1. Tara (in avatar left) and below 2. Casper 3. Tammy 4. Tiny trio...Tammy, Casper Clause, Tara |
p.s....I had £375 to spend on my third dog as well and had no luck finding a pup under £400 in 2006. I was wanting to have a puppy again as well, as it had been 6 years since Tara was a tiny puppy. That is when I spotted the ad for Tammy who was then age 3 in ScotAds...for £100 !!! I have NEVER regretted it....she is a cheeky wee treasure, and we love her to bits ! She is just like a puppy who never grew up anyway, so I didn't miss out at all. :animal-pa |
Thanks for all the advice!:) Im unsure of what to do to be honest.I don't think id mind a larger yorkie, that actually sounds quite appealing. I am rather gutted, I was all set to rehome a puppy but because I was backshift this week I couldn't check my e-mail quick enough and the pup went to another family :( I wish I had all the space in the world to get all of the unloved doggies and make them feel better. If you all see anything matching my criteria, I'd love to hear from you! |
That's the way I feel about them too....but three is my absolute limit ever, as if I got any more I wouldn't have the time with each one that I do now ! I still see some sorryfull babies needing homes even now, and I would just love to have enough arms to hold them all close ! I will pm you with the details of the larger ones;) |
