I don't give mine anything to chew on that they can actually eat, and bully sticks are not safe. I give mine beef marrow bones cut 1" thick. I take the fat out of the little hole and also cut off any fat and meat from the outside of the bone. They are nuts for them. |
I give my babies natural vegetable treats, made by a company called "cerea". You have probably seen them, they come in toothbrush, hedgehog and crocodile designs? they are made from vegetables, safe for puppies easily digested etc :) |

I didn't know about these veg. treats, YORKIE7;1711922. I am going to google "cerea" and see where I can buy them. Do your babies enjoy any particular one? This week I found a liver treat that my little furbaby just LOVES. It is called ProReward 100% Liver Treat by petproject. It is very expensive, I feel, (wouldn't you know it - she has expensive taste). They charge £4.99 for 50g! They also do a chicken treat and a beef treat, but she sniffed at those with disdain and walked away! I would like to try making my own liver treats but haven't a clue how to go about it. My confidence has been shattered by the high standards demanded by my dog. I have tried the biscuit recipes on the US forum that others have found their dogs to go nuts over, but my fussy little girl wouldn't touch them! There I was up to my neck in flour and peanut butter, eggs, honey, chicken pieces and heaven knows what else (all organic, mind you) and she just turns her nose up when I offer one hastily cooled, freshly baked biscuit to her! Honestly, why do I bother! I suppose I will just have to go bankrupt buying the liver treats for her. Thanks so much for your reply. Luv Franceen xx |
