dental costs in ontario hi. my 8 year old yorkie is due for cleaning. He has had it done 2x in his short life so far and I've always questioned the high cost but had nothing to compare it to. The quote I just rec'd from my vet is $1170 including tax and that is with extractions if required. The quote is made up of: pcv & Catalyst chem $126 iv fluids 86 dental prophylaxis 411 dental block 53 dental packing 10 gingival flap 102 metacam 20 noroclav 125mg 45 Does this seem high to others? |
It seems i remember before on here everyone comparing cost for dentals . I remember your area being high. I am very fortunate in my area- north idaho- it is between 140$-170$ thank goodness cause little farley is almost 6 an has already had 5 dentals. He has had one yearly and thats even with me brushing:( |

Oh, I forgot to add... there is also required bloodwork prior to dental (on a separate visit). This is at an additional cost of ~$150-$160. So, ultimately, I suppose our grand total will be ~$1388. |
Wow that is expensive. I just had Pixie done and with Blood work I think it was 280-300. |

When I had to have my cats teeth done I was quoted over $500. We live close to the USA border and have a friend that actually crosses to take her cats and dogs to the vets much cheaper so we looked into it and had our cats teeth cleaned for 1/4 of the cost it was here. They are now the vet we use always for our cat and puppy. Just had our puppy neutered there and 2 weeks ago my sister had her dog neutered here the price difference was insane. |

Gosh, I guess my cost for Rocky and Dudley was not bad at all. It come to $518.80 with a 88.44 regular clientele discount. I don't think I'm ever going to complain about dentals anymore with prices like ya'll have. lol!!!! |
Wow, that is expensive. Last week, Chuy had his first dental and he is 3 yrs old. His teeth weren't bad, but I want to stay on top of it. I was charged $145, and that included anesthesia. The blood work was an additional $49. |

I got Tito's Teeth done early March. I was charged $550. There was a discount cuz it was Oral care month, Blood work was done prior so no charge for the that. Cherryblossom, you said a blood flush option?? You gotta explain that. I've never heard of that before. I personally can not see a vet doing a dialysis for a cleaning. The blood test that a vet does before puting a dog under anesthesia. Is to insure that he/she can bounce back and does not hurt out little ones |
Here is Iowa, it is considerably cheaper. A dental with full blood panel is $110 and a few extra for pain meds if needed. This is for a general cleaning. Extractions are $10 per tooth, unless it just falls out easily. :) My vet is wonderful! |

Hi folks, I adopted a yorkie who was a rescue a while back. I just took him to my vet and to my dismay he says at least 10 teeth!!! will need to be extracted. He gave me a decent price $550, but I'm more concerned how my baby will function after all those teeth gone. He is only 3 years old. :( Has anyone else had a lot of their puppy's teeth taken. Very worried and scared for him. |

Wow, everyone here has 'great' prices! Bella just had her teeth cleaned on May 18... and our bill was $1863.03. Granted she had some extractions but there were no complications. Also, this price doesn't include the required bloodwork which was done earlier in the month when she had a complete check prior to getting her heartworm med. It did include pain medication for post-procedure and a complimentary nail trim. lol |

Dentists seem to be in budget of all. My sister is suffering from bad breathe. Took many mouth washes and cleaning products but all in vain. Finally booked an appointment with dentist Redondo Beach online and to our surprise got excellent advice to maintain healthy oral hygiene. |
