Grooming in London?
 
Hi there!
I just noticed the 'regional' section and was wondering if anyone near London, Ontario knew of a good groomer? I really don't want to take Scooter to Petsmart and am even more afraid to do it on my own (I'm sure I would just make such a mess of him!)
So just wondering if anyone in this area knows of a groomer that does a good job?

I don't know of any places in London, but I recommend getting them groomed at your local vet. My vet has a groomer who comes in on Mondays and Tuesdays, but if your vet doesn't have one, you could look around for a vet that does. After hearing a bunch of grooming horror stories, I was so scared to take my little one to the groomers. But the way I see it is, if the groomer is bad and their clients have a lot of complaints/problems, the vet's office would most likely not allow it anymore. Whereas an independent groomer can continue to do a bad job or be rough with the animals, and no one will try (or have the authority) to correct them. Also, if something were to happen (Heaven forbid), atleast there would be vet help on site. Btw, I've heard too many horror stories about Petsmart/Petco grooming that I would never take my furbaby there :eek:

There is one in Putnum that only does yorkies and one in woodstock that I like

you are right.. DO NOT take him to petsmart.... esp the one on wellington south! It's because of there that I now groom at home. What about a mobile groomer? Or are you willing to drive to St. Thomas or like a previous poster said, Woodstock?

Yup Woodstock and I work in London and I am a dog trainer.
The one in woodstock is Active Pet Grooming.
I would never use Pet store grooming to much going on to big of a risk.

I take Odie to Pets Beautiful. They are located on the corner of Commisioners and Wonderland by the Food Basics store. They are wonderful there and do a fantastic job. Laura and the girls have been grooming Odie since he was a baby. So they know him very well and are extremely careful in grooming him. I would recommend them in a second!!! I hope this helps

How much is pets beautiful? I have been grooming him myself its nice to know there is a reputable place near london.

they are about $28.00 to $30 depending on the size of the dog I hope that helps.

I found a great breeder in London.. Teddy has never had a better hair cut and I feel like she is reasonably priced its called fur paws only and she is amazing!
