Hi! Welcome to YT! We tend not to go to dog parks becuase we are never really sure what virus' are lurking there. However, when the weather is nicer, we will go for a walk in Springbank (but watch out for the goose poop!). My three yorkies will play with eachother and their "cousin" yorkie (my sister has one) but they don't often play with other dogs. They rude and just ignore them. I would be interested in doing a walk with some other London yorkie mom's when the weather warms up! Tell us a bit about how you found your little girl? I always love those stories! Also, if you are looking for an amazing (!!) vet, I can't say enough wonderful things about mine. He seems to have a lot of yorkie patients. |

Have you had a yorkie litter lately? Kate |
Ill have to check out that park! I'm in London for school but I am from stoney creek. The story of how we adopted sophie doesnt start well....my boyfriend and I first purchase a '5 months' old Shorkie from this woman who advertised on kijiji who claimed she didnt hve time for him btw her 3 children. we had him for a day and named him Oliver. He was adorable, however we made a shocking discovery when we took him to the vet. turns out little Oliver was over a year old. also we suspected problems when he didnt act like a puppy. it seemed odd to us that he was so scared of everyone and never got excited... my roommates kitten was extremely uneasy around him and i when i took him outside he had issues going to the washroom .. he just sat there urinating on himself:confused: anyway i googled the womens number and it turns out shes a breeder and has had a kennel for years, i suspected somthing was wrong with the dog since she lied about his age and i thought he might be ill or somthing. i called the woman back and she was extremely rude and started insulting my vet. i decided to return the pup since i thought she had somethign to hide (since she didnt mention she had a professional kennel) anyway we got our money back and after sometime we found our little Sophie:) I got Sophie this past november in Sarina . we went to see her and pick her out at 4weeks and had to wait another month to bring her home which didnt fly by fast enough haha! my boyfriend got her for me as an xmas gift and we couldnt love her more!We also got sophie off kijiji but i wasnt too concern with searching there bc my uncle is a professional breeder and he advertises there all the time. however we also suspected sophie wasnt a purebread lol but i think it may have been bc her parents look so different (moms very light and the dad has alot of black and different textured furs). I know the best thing to do when adopting a pup is to go to a breeder but we werent too concerned with getting a purebread and sophie was a gift from my boyfriend who is also in school so we had a budget lol. i do not think it is necessary to go to a breeder in order to get a healthy pup you just need to know what to look for and make sure you check out both parents and ask alot of questions. haha sorry for the novel :) |

Im in London too, I have 2 senior yorkies. I too have the best vet in the world if anyone in the area is looking. She truly loves animalsand is very compassionate. I recently had to have one of my precious babies cross over the bridge and being its winter here and cant bury my baby, she has her at the clinic till spring for me.....very difficult to talk about sorry :*( Was wondering where did everyone get there yorkies in the London area. I got one from Ottawa, and a pet store(a NO-NO) I now know and a great breeder here in London. |

Hi! Who is your vet? Although I am super happy with my vet it is always good to have a back-up one! I got my yorkies from and AMAZING breeder: Blue Majesty Yorkies (and she lives in London) She doesn't breed often but she is so ethical and sweet--I just can't say enough about her! I met her when I adopted one of her older dogs and since then we have become good friends. I am so sorry to hear about your baby passing. Kate |
