new members Hi everyone. I'm a new member to YT. I'm located on Vancouver Island, proud and humble slave to two yorkies. Little Bear aka Boss of all of Vancouver Island is an 11 year old female originally from Washington. Turbo is a 5 year old male originally from Texas. Bear is a rescue and Turbo is a little guy I bought from a terrible breeder just so I could get him out of there. I've had yorkies for more than 25 years, can't live without them. Does anyone on the list have any experience with the new senility drugs for dogs? Bear is having a pretty rough time and all of the vets I've spoken with have suggested we put her on senility drugs. I'm hesitant to do that until I can get some first hand information about them. Many thanks. |
I can't help re the senility drugs - sorry about Bear's problems. A very warm welcome though!! I also have two yorkies - Gypsy Rose aged 2 and Gizzie Chavi aged 1. Also owned yorkies for years - had two previously - Yogi and Gizmo and still miss them so much. Hope to see you here often .... love, Ana, Gyps and Gizz xxx :aimeeyork |

First off - welcome to the group! It's nice to have more Canadians join the forum. You'll have to post some pics of your babies soon. As for the senility drugs... I wasn't even aware that there was such a thing out there. I'm not much help, but you helped me learn something new today! Take care and hope to hear more from you! |
Welcome to YT!! Your babies sounds beautiful - we'd love to see pics! |
welcome Flakes to YT we would love to awwwwww over your babies post pics soon!! |
Flakes new puppy Hi Flakes, just wondering how the new puppy is doing. |
Love to see some pics!!!!! Welcome to Yorkie Talk Joy, Nikki and Chloe Rose :rose: |
She's doing very well. I really proud of her, well actually the breeder should be the one proud of her. She is almost completely house trained, only has an accident if I miss the signs that she has to go. She sleeps through the night and wakes me with itty bitty puppy kisses. Hubby taught her to go upstairs and she learned it on the first try!!!!!! She gets along well with my other two yorkies although every now and then those puppy teeth get her in trouble. We took her to the vet for her last shot and a check up, all is well and she was good as gold. Having her spayed might be a bit of a problem because of her size, she is now 18 weeks and still just 1 lb 12 oz so the vet thinks she'll stay under 3 lbs. We will delay the surgery as long as possible. She's a wee angel. Thanks for asking about her. |
I promise I will take pics tonight when I get home from my meeting. |
New Puppy 1 Attachment(s) She sounds just the way Levi was when we got him from Yorkhouse Kennel -- already trained. Michele produces such great Yorkies with wonderful personalities. I am sure you will be please with your choice and will be recommending her to others. Here is a picture of Levi -- he's such a cool dude in his visor. |
Welcome Flakes!! Fortunately I don't have any experience with the senility drugs yet. I hope some one is able to help you out. If you can post any pictures, we would love to see your babies! |
