Who can I trust? I want a puppy badly.
 

:) Hi my name is Callie and I live in SLC, Utah. I have become obsessed with Yorkies ever since my Mom got Giselle last year. She has truly changed my life and my heart has grown ever since we've had her. I've decided I really want one. I've recently been looking a lot and I've noticed there really aren't any reputable breeders in Utah. I have looked online and I've come across so many sites that sell puppies that I can't keep them all straight! However, my gut told me there is something wrong with ordering a life over the internet and having it shipped on a plane without ever seeing where it is coming from. My gut was right. The more I've researched, the more it breaks my heart to think these sorts of places are in business! I cry every time I read about puppy mills and the life these precious beings are subjected to just so some humans can make a buck! I refuse to support anyone in this business by giving them my money even though I may get a great companion in the end.

I just came across this forum and I'm glad I joined because I've already learned a lot. Also, I love being a part of something where people are as passionate about yorkies as I am, and even more so! I really want to find the perfect yorkie for me because I plan on having him/her as a family member for the next fifteen years of my life.

If anyone knows of a REPUTABLE, RESPONSIBLE, LOVING BREEDER that is looking to place a puppy in the hands of someone who will treat him/her like a family member I'd really like to be steered in their direction because I'm starting to wonder if I can trust anyone!? I think good breeders are just hard to find here. I will travel anywhere if I have to.

Welcome to YT! You're right. It's hard to find a reputable breeder. The search can take months! There are several breeders here that may be able to help you or direct you in the right direction.

I know they really are priceless. I am totally in love with them and my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy. He loves them too though ;) . I will keep looking for a good breeder, and I'm hopeful some breeders on here do help me out :)

I'm moving to Utah from CA next week (grew up in Orem) and I'd be happy to help any way I can before and when you get your new fur baby! Bridget will love to have a playmate in a new big city!

There are many good breeders who have websites and ship thier puppies.
My theory- If only the puppy mills and bad breeders advertise on the internet folks looking for a puppy do not have a choice. The more good breeders advertise the better the chance of putting the puppymills and bad breeders out of business.

This gives good breeders a chance to show off the babies that they have spent so much time and effort producing.

I am sure there are good breeders online and I didn't mean to be so general when I made my statements about disappointing breeders online. I did look at your website and your dogs are outstanding. As is your website. It is unfortunate that it is so difficult to find the quality breeders websites under all of the puppymills and bad breeders advertising. It really is sad. I was very inpressed with your dogs though. Thanks for bringing my awareness up!

Yt has quite a few good breeders who are members. If you look and do some research I am sure that you might be able to find the baby that you are looking for and the right breeder here or get a reconmendation to help you in your search.
