Hello California Peeps! Wouldn't it be great to have a California Yorkie Talkers get together! :D I'm on the central coast, by Lompoc/Solvang -- but have also lived in La Crescenta, Santa Clarita, and Edwards AFB (which is by Lancaster/Palmdale) -- where are the other CA peeps from?! :D |
Anaheim for me I live in north Anaheim not far from the stadium and Disneyland |
Rowland Heights, CA HI -- I live in Rowland Heights, but work in La Crescenta. I just got my baby not too long ago -- his name is Louis and he's 4 months now. First time Yorkie owner, and I am crazy about him! I haven't figured out how to post pics yet. but i will soon! |
My Dad taught Band at Crescenta Valley High School for years :) He's retired now though. I loved it when we lived there! Here's more information about how to post pictures: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1994 |
HI I'm new too! First time yorkie owner. Milo he's 12 weeks. So cute. I've had him for 3 weeks and I'm just in love with him. I would have a dozen of them if my husband would let me. I live in San Fernando. Used to live in Studio City.(San Fernando Valley). I love being a valley girl. :) Born and raised. |
I used to go to San Fernando a lot when I was in high school - I was dating a guy who went to Cal State Northridge. I love the name Milo - the best cat in the world was named Milo! :D |
Valley girls I live in Anaheim, but my tow youngest daughters live in the valley, one in Studio city off coldwater canyon and the other in Granada Hills off the 118. I would drive to meet you guys for a get together. I have two yorkie boys and am looking for a small female by summer. |
Wow....lots of Valley Girls from Southern CA!! Anyone from the San Francisco/Bay Area? |
I would drive for a get together too - that would be SO much fun! :D |
i live in mission viejo....... working hard on socializing toby, unfortunatly the "small dog park" in our area isnt really well supervised (some of these people are jerks, and so are there dogs...) i havent gotten toby together with another yorkie yet, i think it would be interesting (but hes a larger one, hes 8 lbs) |
I Live in San Francisco Bay Area Tri Valley area and they have meetings here at a park in Dublin, Calif. for everyone to take there yorkies to a doggie park. I'm going to go to the next one in March will let u all know how it goes. the Pictures look great that I have seen of all the little guys playing. When I go will take pictures, I still have to try to figure out how to put them on here in photo gallery. If I can't figure it out maybe I can email them to someone on here and they can do it for me the next meeting is March. 20th. |
Duke and I live in the Wine Country of Northern California. I wish that I lived closer to everyone in Southern California, because we would love to join you! Have fun! |
I would love to meet you guys in the Valley. We're looking for a yorkie girl. So far no luck :( I won't take Milo to the dog parks out here. My experience with them has not been good.( the top of Mullhuland) I'm sure it's probably flooded right now anyways. Good to meet you all. :D |

i'm so happy to here there are quite a few yorkie owners in southern ca! louis, my 4 month male yorkie, LOVES other dogs. he goes nuts when he sees other dogs, but most dogs he's met are bigger than him and it doesn't seem like they want to play with him. it's really quite sad sometimes and i feel bad for him. i think big dogs just look at him like he's this little annoying thing running around them. but he loves kids, and my daughter and niece and him always play tag -- of course louis is always "it"!!! oh! and if you don't mind...i have a quick question...do your yorkies tend to wear themselves out quickly. i think louis loves to play, but after awhile, he'll knock out for a couple of hours. and he sleeps like 10 hours at night. do most yorkies sleep that much or is it because he's still young? thanks everyone! |
