need a tiny yorkie puppy in So. Cal. Am I on the right board? I'm helping my young, fit grandma find a yorkie or yorkie mix puppy that will stay less tahn 5-6 lbs. Is that a possibility? It does not have to be papered (if that matters) because it will never be bred-- just a spoiled pet. =) The only thing she hopes for is to find a very small dog that will live at least 8-10 years. Her dog just died this past year (13 years old) & broke her heart. Does anyone know how to find a home breeder in my area? If so, PLEASE email me at Cookmeliss@aol.com (I may not find this board again) :animal36 Thanks! |
Yes, that is definitely possible. Prices in California seem to be generally higher than the rest of the country, but you can find a good breeder. You may want to post in the Yorkies For Sale & Wanted forum as more breeders may contact you. Welcome to YorkieTalk, cookmeliss and good luck on your search for the perfect Yorkie for your Grandma! |

yorkie for grandma I have a male yorkie that I have to find a good home for due to unforseen circumstances. Send me a private message if your interested. I would love for someone to take good care of my pet. |
You should try Cindy Landry at Scruffy's Yorkies. I was going to buy one of her two newborn puppies but changed my mind. Impressive pedigrees also. |
Hi there; My Lily will be having puppies at the end of this month. How soon do you want a puppy ? Mine will be ready to place in the middle of December. If your in a hurry try Yorkie Rescue, their mix and you just make a donation. |
I really would like a Yorkie to adopt. Is yours still available? Please call 818.421.7222 Carlene |

Anyone heard of fancy face yorkies? Trying to see if they are a reputable breeder. Would love to hear from someone who has adopted a healthy baby from them. Thanks. |

Beware of "Fancy Names". I have never heard of "Fancy Face Yorkies". Then again, read around you would be surprised what you read. If you question any thing, any Names, then listen to your gut feeling. Most likely your gut feeling is correct. Yes you will hear all types here too, but the "Standard" is what you want "IF" you want an AKC Papered Yorkie. Plus and most important if you are paying allot of money for this dog. I advise you to go to www.akc.org and look up the standard for "Yorkies". Good luck |
