Vadzilla.com review I would NOT use this site....it claims that you can find the PERFECT pet by using their site. It is another site, not much different than puppyfind...craigslist etc...it does allow you to make reviews on breeders....but.... I think it is a big dumping site that already includes various byb's and greeders and since anyone can post or list a pup there it is quite useless other than for yet another reference point as you go through the process of elimination. There are no real warnings regarding what you may or may not find there and those breeders. I believe this site is misleading the average "consumer" into thinking if you buy from a breeder on there you will have the "Perfect pet"....noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo |
I hadn't heard of this site- looked at one site just out of curiosity and it was red flag city! I feel sad for the people that buy these puppies and the puppies that were made for profit. |
USELESS site filled w/greedy puppy millers & unethical back yard breeders. I looked @ the breeder list in CA for Yorkies & there's 2 that I know are BAD BAD BAD.:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...ie-kisses.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...ca-encino.html There's lots of threads on YT about staryorkie, it's a puppy mill.:(:(:( |
Regarding that site's Yorkie breeder listings, I visited Gumwood Kennels more than once years and years ago and from what I now know, I am pretty sure it was a puppymill operation at that time. They used to run ads in the newspaper before the internet advertising almost every kind of toy breed and toy mix one could think of. There was no screening of potential buyers at all and certainly no health guarantee back then. I believe Ms. Welch is now deceased. But unless that operation has changed significantly, in my opinion one would be wise to avoid it when looking for a puppy. |

I looked at the Biewer section. There is reputable breeders there but there is also puppy mills and back yard breeders. I wish the owner of the site would research the person before posting their website. |
The site is no different than puppyfind, kiji or Craigslist. It's buyer beware. It's a shame that there is no pre screening of the sellers. All they need to do is pay a fee. |
Just want to add that the site has a few reputable breeder listings, I guess it's free for two months and then they will take them off after that period, but if I were a breeder, I wouldn't even want my name on a site like that, not listed with known puppy mill breeders. |
That's the thing Nancy, what REPUTABLE breeder would ever want to be listed on a site like that? I think most would be very protective of their reputation that they've worked so hard to attain. So sad and the ones who will suffer the most are the dogs. |
 i remember  |
I checked it out, I've seen two breeders who are yorkietalk members who I consider good breeders listed on the site, I wonder if they know? |

I had a quick look at the Yorkshire Terrier breeders listed on that site and see MANY reputable ones there, including myself, and no, I did not ask for nor pay for a listing. I strongly suspect the owners of the site took it upon themselves to list breeders, and time will tell how good their intentions are. Let the buyer beware and do sufficient due diligence when selecting a breeder. The internet is a fun and interesting place that is loaded with good information and lots of pure junk, so approach everything cautiously.:) |
