Rigair - Ilona Rodionova Review
 
I have waited a long time to post this review. I don't believe in posting a review for good or bad until a fair amount of time has passed.

How long have I known this breeder? Over 6 yrs

How would I rate her willingness to help an owner with her pup? 5 out of 5

How healthy has my own pup been? 5 out of 5

How well socialized was my pup when I got him? 5 out of 5

How well did my pup accept grooming? 5 out of 5

Did my breeder go over the health risks of Yorkies? Yes

Was she willing to go over some other concerns I had? Yes

Did she offer free training and grooming for the first year or so? Yes

Do I believe she would stand behind me and support me over the life of my pup? Yes


I just want the Yorkie owners here to know she is an excellent breeder, trainer and a true dog enthusiast. Here is a video of her "dancing with a border collie called Una. Please know that what you see represents thousands of hours of training. We (Magic and I) were privileged to train with Una.

OMGosh! That dancing was something else! Love the backward move through split legs (don't know what that's called, lol) but I've never seen that, only forward moves!

She sounds like an ideal breeder from your review... glad to know there are some very good ones out there.

My Katie is one of Ilona's retired females. Katie's confidence and love of people are a testament to the love, commitment, and socialization she received from Ilona. She retired my little girl at the age of three, and I can feel the love she has for Katie still. Ilona is the epitome of what it means to be a reputable, honorable breeder, and if my little girl is any indication, she is also a wonderful trainer. I feel very blessed that she entrusted me with our little girl.

Wow that was amazing. They do say border collies are the smartest dog. And Ilona's training is impeccable. Great review

Great video.... thanks for sharing it Gail! I got to meet Illona at a dog show here in Kentucky.... it was a pleasure!

Well thank Lisa, she found that video. Like all truly great folks, Ilona is humble; I have never seen this video until Lisa posted it. I of course got to see a short demo of "dancing" with Una at a couple of events; but not like that video a whole routine.

She knows more about dogs than I will ever know. I am a very humble student of hers.

Una died of cancer this year, we our small group of breeders and trainers have lost many dogs this year. Una, Zoey, Launa, Dar. We weep for their loss. Every dog who is lost both dimishes our hearts and yet uplifts them!

For we know we have been blessed to be a part of their life for large or small. They have made a difference. As all dogs do for at the very least their family's life.

What you wrote is very beautiful. My heart weeps each time I hear of the loss of someone's beloved pet, but I also know the beautiful impact that our precious family members have on our lives. I still grieve the loss of my little angels, but oh how I still feel their love. I am forever changed because of the love of all of my little girls, and the far greater loss would have been not to have had them in my lives. I am so very sorry for your loss of your beautiful Zoey and for the loss that your friends have had.

I am so happy that you and Ilona have forged such a friendship because of your work with her and the bond you share because of Razzle. Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge with us. I have learned so much from you, and I feel so blessed to have met you here.
