It is the responsibility of the owner to inform the breeder, if they chose to. I received an e-mail from the owner informing me of their loss and stating that when they were ready they would be in contact with me to assist them through their search. |

Oh, no, no and hell no. I just looked at her website and my opinion is you should walk away. Can somebody else please look at the link to moms on the puppy page and tell me if something looks off with "Sarah." Perhaps it is the camera angle, but that poor baby girl looks like a baboon. I'm sorry to offend, but most of her moms and dads look off to me, not standard at all. And Tatum's coat is very red. OP, if the appearance of your Yorkie is important to you (and I'm guessing it is) you should really look for a breeder that is breeding to the standard set by the YTCA. Regarding coat, I have a soft (cotton) coated Yorkie and it broke my heart when I realized it, which wasn't until he was maybe 6 months old (I got him at 12 weeks). I don't know if experienced breeders can tell at 8-12 weeks what the quality of a puppy's coat will be, but I sure couldn't. It just wasn't fair to my Nicco to try to grow a long coat so he has a puppy cut. It mats so easily and no amount of grooming or product will change that. |

Mary, if you are referring to Zoe as the dog that was put down on the 19th, she was from Kim Wood in Lipan, Texas and not Trena. I would strongly caution anyone to NOT purchase from Kim Wood!!!!! Dena |

Trena's Toys, Weatherford, Tx I have been fortunate enough to have received four wonderful, loving and healthy yorkies from Trena. I would recommend strongly that if anything is wrong with one of Trena's dogs that you direct your questions to her. All of the dogs I have gotten from Trena are "pet" quality, in other words not for the purposes of breeding or showing. All have had amazing coats and when I had time to brush him every day, Angel's (the second dog) coat was so amazing that he would have tripped on it had I not had it cut. The coats are very soft and silky. I am not sure what the previous writer had in mind when she said "soft coat". It is my understanding that any type of worms can be "picked up" just about anywhere. Actually ringworms are not a WORM at all but a fungal infection, I had it as a child when living overseas in the 60's. (Please remember Trena socializes her dogs, that means they play in the grass, and with other dogs.) It is treated topically, and I think, not reason to reject a puppy at all. Most people don't have any idea how hard it is to breed dogs that are bred for the right qualities, and Trena does. Her place is clean and "her babies", are all quite wonderful. My first experience with Trena was about 22 years ago when I got Daisy. Daisy grew up to be 2.7 pounds and was the light of my life in every way. What anyone would want from the breed. She never knew a stranger, even the one who stole her from me. My subsequent Yorkies from Trena have all been top notch, my darling Keyoku (Connie's Buttons & Bows) the fourth from Trena and is turning 9 this year and is fantastic health, and a picturesque example of the breed. I wholeheartedly recommend Trena as a breeder of wonderful, loving, and healthy dogs. Sandra Withers-Napier In my book Trena gets::animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa |
Trena's Toys 2017- I have had the pleasure of having two of Trena's yorkies in my life. They were both amazing babies! One, Britches, was diagnosed with Cushings disease at the age of two. I did have to but her to sleep a couple of years ago. She was 11. She ended up with a cancerous tumor on her thyroid gland. We fought the good fight and lived life to the fullest! She was a real trooper! I miss her everyday! I still have one of Trena's yorkies. Her name is Minicooper. She is 12 now. She's a doll! Super sweet and has always been healthy, minius the LP and collapsing trachea that usually comes with any teacup breed. I have enjoyed these two so very much! If anyone has owned one of Trena's Toys or knows someone who does, I would love to stay in touch! Through the years I have always been able to spot one of Trena's yorkies when I've been out and about. I've never thought of them as being odd looking, more like just extra cute! :aimeeyork - Natasha Jackson, Garland TX |
