I'm really sorry you took offense that Brenda sold her pup to what she felt was the best potential home. I personally know of many breeders who will talk with several prospective buyers and even take a deposit on a pup - yet if another comes along whom they feel is a better home for their pup, they will refund a deposit and sell to the other home. IMHO I feel this makes her a breeder who very much cares about where her pups go than just getting the almightly $ and I would rather buy from someone like this. I can't help but feel you are posting this for the sake of drama since this happened in 2007 and Breny has sold several pups here and other places since then. |

I left YT for a couple years and just recently started to get back into the forums again. I saw this thread, and thought it was about time to share my own experience. I didn't realize that people would be so extremely biased and judgmental about it. Now I remember why I took a hiatus from this forum. I remember reading many posts/threads where newbies would get run off by mean/rude/judgmental comments from people. It left a sour taste in their mouths and they left YT because of it. I thought I'd come back and give the forums another chance, but I guess nothing has changed. I happily donated to this forum (only forum I've ever donated to), and to get such rude and judgmental comments that are completely unwarranted, now makes me wish I never joined this site. Thank you for your snappy comments and judgments....you must be really proud of your ability to bring people down - you sure are great at it! |

This thread was intended to praise breny as a breeder not debate on things about her or decisions she had made. So anyone reading this can remember that she is fantastic!!!!!! Thanks- Viv |
I'm sorry T Doll, but I just cannot picture Breny doing what you claim she did. I have gotten both my boys from her, Chase in 2009, and Calvin just last year. I have talked to her at least once a month since I brought home Chase, and my boyfriend and I talked with her for 2-3 hours when we picked up Chase, and another 2-3 hours when we picked up Calvin. I send her pics and updates of the boys, and if I forget, she asks about them. She is the most caring person, and screens her puppies homes extensivly. She picked the right pups for us, and I cannot imagine my life without my boys. She is not pushy at all and would never ask someone to place a deposit on a puppy since it's up to the buyer if they want the puppy or not. She is the last person that would try to sell a puppy to just any home. You need to prove to her that you are serious and want the puppy. Once you were approved for a puppy, you should have placed a deposit right away. Please don't think I am "bashing" you or anything, I feel since I personally know Brenda, I should be able to give my opinion. |

First of all, I didn't think that expressing my feelings in someone else's thread was a no-no? I didn't make my own thread about it because I didn't want to have a "negative" review dedicated towards her. I didn't believe it was necessary to have an entire thread about it. And could you imagine if I had made up my own thread about this? People would've jumped all over me, coming to the defense of their precious Breny. Heaven forbid anyone say anything that was less than positive, about her. I guarantee that if this situation happened with anyone else (outside of YT and not a known member on here), people wouldn't be so quick to jump to her defense. I never made a judgment against Breny, I used facts and comments from what happened, and interpreted them accordingly. You guys, on the other hand, just assume that she was simply trying to place the puppy in a better suited home. Do you actually know that? No. Being that I was the one in the situation and know the specifics, I'm 100% certain that wasn't the case. She even said to me that shes reserves the puppy to the first person that gives her a deposit. That doesn't sound like she thought I wasn't suitable for her pup? And she was the one who came to ME, offering ME one of her puppies. I did not initially come to her. I don't understand why everyone is so offended that I post my thoughts in "this" thread. Just because it's a positive review thread, I have to completely agree with it in order to post? What if somebody came on here posting a "positive review" on that horrible breeder of yorkiepup.com? Would people not be allowed to chime in and give their thoughts - be it good or bad? The point is, nobody is perfect. Good reviews come with bad reviews, and vice versa. |

You are now comparing praise Breny a MEMBER of YT who obviously is adored on here by many to potential praise of yorkiepup.com who is a BYB!!!!!???????? People would attack that thread with oodles of negativity b/c that breeder is a BYB, BRENY IS NOT ANYWHERE IN THE REALM OF THE SAME CATEGORY so you can't compare. That is IMHO opinion is crossing the line. NOT APPRECIATED and I made the same mistake of saying PETLAND and Breny in the same sentence and corrected myself. If I came on here and praised PETLAND and people brought negative experiences to add, I would understand as it is a WARNING for others to read b/c SOOOOOO many people have had horrific experiences. Same with yorkiepup.com BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE!! Please compare apples to apples!!!!!! BLAH- Vivian |

I hate it when a good thread gets turned around to negativity!! Good for you on your thread!! why do they have to stray from the original positive post? My Mom always said if you don't have anything nice to say...... DON"T say anything at all!! |

I'm sorry...but with inconsistencies like this...this just sounds like sour grapes to me. And yes...Breny is indeed precious to those of us who know, love and respect her. :) |
I'm really sorry Tdoll that you had an unfavorable experience in 2007. I can only only go by 1st hand knowledge of Breny in 2010. She allowed me to have one of her precious babies. From the time I placed my deposit till I brought my baby home, Breny was there 100%, she e-mailed pics and videos and answered any questions (I had lots of them ). Then she had the most sweet and caring person hand deliver Brielle from MI to NJ. Once Brielle arrived home I still had questions ( I was a nervous Mom) Breny was right there for me. I e-mail her with updates on Brielle and she always responds. I even had questions about Brielle's spay and needed her advice, she was right there for me. Vivian and Jenn (Schooby) I agree with you both and sing Breny's praises. I dream of my next baby and Breny will be the one I will call.:) |

Same with yorkiepup.com BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE!! Please compare apples to apples!!!!!! BLAH- Vivian
You've really taken my post out of context. I was NOT comparing Breny OR her breeding practices to that of Yorkiepup! I was using it as a mere example of why I don't understand that people can not post their honest opinions, no matter what thread it is. Everything seems to be one-sided here. You can post your opinions of what you think about me, but I can't post my opinion about someone else? At any point, in any of my posts, did I ever refer to Breny as being a bad breeder or a BYB? In fact, I've stated the exact opposite! So how can you think that I was comparing her to Yorkiepup? I was comparing the situation (in regards to posting/threads), I was NOT comparing them as breeders. All of you Breny followers can have your own opinions, I am in no way against that. But there is no reason for you to jump on me, just because I said something that you didn't want to hear (or believe). It was my opinion and my own experience, and I don't feel that it was wrong of me to share it here. I've even received PM's from other members telling me that I've done nothing wrong here. I'm sure there are other people reading this, who also agree, but they're not willing to speak up because they know that they would get jumped on and judged as well. It seems like all of you are accusing me of starting all this drama, but if you take a close look, YOU are the ones who turned it into what it is now. If I wanted to start drama, I would've out right said that she was a horrible breeder/person and that everyone should stay away from her. I didn't say that. I didn't even imply that. But for some reason, some of you seem to have imagined that I said all of this? That's where/when the drama started. Sure, I stated my opinion, but I didn't cause the drama. You guys can think whatever you want of Breny, and of me. It was not my intention to turn this thread into a debate, and I'm quite sad that that's what it came to. I am no longer going to argue and defend myself here (I've done nothing wrong). Congrats on your new baby, I'm happy for you that you had a positive experience with her. All the best to you. |

I just wanted to remind you that this thread is not owned by you. You posted your great experience with Breny, which I'm glad everything went well for you. I think everyone is entitled to post their experience as well whether good or bad. I haven't posted what I really think of my boy's breeder. Maybe some day I'll have the guts to speak out. It's even harder to speak out against a long time member and give an honest review when others seem to have them in high regard. That goes for products as well as for breeders. You gave your rave review, and the other poster gave her review. As long as you both were honest and didn't stretch the truth, I see no problem in each of you having an equal opportunity to express yourselves. I hope you have continued success with Ressie and I hope Snick and him are best friends for the rest of their lives. *hugs* to you. :) |

Anyway, you just keep positive, and if the posts bothers you, put it on mental ignore. You know what your experience was, and you did your job by giving an honest review. You did your part and you can feel good about it. :) |
T Doll, I found my breeder from a different forum. I was going for a biewer. Just so you know, I'm nt on this thread to bash Breny as I specifically stated I never got a chance to buy a pup from her. I can say she does love her dogs and want the best for them. Again I'm not bashing Breny. Please keep this in mind. Thank you! :aimeeyork |
This is the very 1st time I have had the experience to feel really bad and sick to my tummy for arguing with someone on this forum. I have never gotten into any arguments or disagreements on YT in the 2.5 years I have been a member, and I never will again. I had managed to stay drama free and today that ended and I'm sad. I'm sad that a positive thing turned negative and that I allowed it to get the better of me, it will not happen again, my friends on here know I am not that type of member. If anyone would like to know more about my experience with my breeder who I think is wonderful-Breny, please contact me via PM. My puppy Reesie is doing wonderfully and thank you to all who have complimented him. He is a doll, a handful LOL, but a total doll. Smiles- Viv |

Goodness :) This was a long thread to read! I thought I would just post and say I honestly know that I can not make EVERYONE happy and I for one am certainly not even close to perfect, but I do try my very hardest to produce healthy, well socialized puppies that I really try to match with the perfect families. Getting them into the best home for them and their personalities is my first concern. I can take the bad reviews along with the good reviews and I will grow and learn from them :) Vivian thank you for being a good mommy to my baby boy! I love his updates and I'm glad I've made a new friend! T Doll - congrats on your new boy and your breeder Shari is a wonderful person and has spectacular dogs...you must be very proud of him! I bet he is gorgeous. Thanks again and I feel good that everything worked out well in the end for all. |
Speaking as someone that knows neither of you, the way I look at it, a breeder or even a pet owner for that matter has the sole decision on where and to whom they want their pup or dog to go to. Would I be disappointed, sure, but when I homed my pups, it was my decision and no one elses. Breny, your dogs are beautiful and I applaud you for caring which home they get. |
