Has anyone heard of Kuddle Bug Puppy in NY? Has anyone heard of Kuddle Bug Puppy in the catskills of NY? I am considering buying a puppy at 7 months old from her. She is 3.20 pounds I believe. Im near Boston so a 5 hr ride to there. Thank you |
Kuddle Bug Puppies Doesn't list her guarantee on her website. She also breeds 4lb females!:thumbdown She states "I make my living doing this":thumbdown I would look elsewhere!:) |
A breeder living off the back of her dogs is one to stay away from...... A Reptuable breeder takes care of their dogs not the other way around. |
She does have a 1 yr health policy. I've spent a good amount of time talking with her. Yesterday I talked with her vet for a while and he had nothing but good to say on her. Should I ask for other references? I don't see anything wrong with someone staying home because she's in her 50's or 60's. But I'm no expert ;) It's just very few breeders are near home and hard to know anything real living this far away. |
Both mom and dad are 5 pounds who she owns.if she has a 4 pound dog doesn't that fit the standard? |

Litter box trained.....and??????????????????? I don't care how nice this person is. Anyone can talk the talk. She is still living off the backs of her dogs....Again I repeat no reputable breeder does this. She is breeding to sell puppies only. :thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown |

Here is a strange story connected to this breeder. I'm not sure if she actually has a pet store that she is selling her puppies at or not: PetsByPets |
That was an interesting story..LOL Looking at her home, she must be selling a lot of puppies... |

And in defense of the breeder; a puppy may be trained in the breeders home. Knowing where the proper place to go in a new home needs to be taught......The purchasers of the new puppy were in my opinion just a bit wacked. |

The thing I was curious, was if she actually has a "store" that she is selling puppies from as mentioned in the article. |
Yes I read the article a couple weeks ago but didn't mention because I feel it's incredibly ignorant of these people to do that. I also caught on of the pet store mention. I have all these things in the back of my head. |
Makes me sick thinking how many dogs were produced to put a kid through college! She makes her living off the backs of innocent animals and seems so proud of the fact:mad: |

Exactly! It looks like she breeds three different breeds, no clue as to how many in total! |

It concerns me this is how she makes her living, that she breeds three different breeds. She only has the males on her site, how many females does she have?? Why doesn't she have pics of them? She mentions on her site she thinks the "easiest" way to find a "good breeder" is by what they feed their dogs. I'm sorry, but I disagree! We rescued Camden from a "horrible" breeder IMO, who supposedly fed her dogs very good food, so that really doesn't mean much to me! I would be looking elsewhere, IMO. NOT someone who supports themselves by breeding! |

Scratching my head and wondering where I have gone wrong? I have not made any money from my dogs. I do lots of health screening, pay my veterinarian enough to put HER kids through college, my dogs eat Nutro Natural Choice dog food 4 star food on the list of 1-5 stars and I get Tuna and peanut butter, the dogs have air conditioned rooms and I dont even have an airconditioner in my bedroom. Not to mention the toys, treats, etc. Maybe I should give this lady a call and see where to cut corners so that I could get my little ones to support me...lol..hey JK .... |

FYI we decided to go with a breeder closer to home. Thanks for the input. In the end it was really the distance that we couldn't risk if it didn't work out. Thanks again! |
So do you have a new baby? If so, could we see the wee one? |

Wow...that was a fast :aimeeyork find :) Did you get one that fast? Is it a she or he and how old? |

LOL right. One thing I am not is sad. I greatly appreciated the info from others. I wasn't looking to extend this thread any further. I have done lots of research for weeks, spoken to several breeders and met with many in New England. Hearing from others with their thoughts was why I came here and was very helpful. I also have my own thoughts and opinions after speaking with someone. I fell in love with a baby we met last weekend and was waiting to make a connection. She is 12 weeks old and needs a home :) I've started a new thread introducing myself if you are interested. Thanks again all others :) |
