Kingcreek Breeders - Warning Hi. I am brand new to the puppy world. We innocently bought a puppy from Kingcreek in Sunridge Ontario, and it was sick with RINGWORM (nasty for children.) 3 children contracted it. THEY REFUSED TO REFUND OUR $2,000. I was told by the Kennel Assoc. to sue them in Small Claims Court. What a hassle. They are unethical breeders. If you go to Ontario Small Claims Court, you will see them listed as a defendant in my file. The kennel is not clean, and our Vet indicated that the only way to get rid of the infection was to purge the Kennel. 30 dogs live with them in the house.. Buyer Beware. They refuse to refund a cent! |
OMG!!!! Hope your baby will be ok. So sorry for your little one. I though about buying from them when I got my last dog and look at there site as I am from Ontario too... I have no personal experience with them, but I remember reading a tread about them on YT. |
So sorry that you had to deal with this! This is just terrible :( |
I hope you little guy is doing better now! I haven't used Kingcreek as a Breeder, but I did find something strange about the owner. Two weeks ago my little guy passed away, I found myself online searching and searching yorkies - anything that would remind me of him. I came across their web-site and reviewed it up and down - enjoyed the pictures, videos, etc. So I decided to write her a thank you email, advising of my little guys passing and how much I enjoyed her web-site - wasn't looking just yet to replace him, etc. This is what I find strange, I didn't get a reply... nothing. Would have been nice to get a thank you on the nice comments about their site, or maybe sorry about my little one passing - but nothing. I find it hard that someone who prides herself on breeding and loving yorkies would not find it in her heart to respond to my email. |
Sorry I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. |
Kingcreek Kennels I am very surprised to hear this as they have treated me with umbelievable kindness and professionalism. I have adopted two dogs from there and they have been in tip top shape and were happy healthy dogs. They provided me with all the support I needed and went well beyond the average level or service. I would highly recomend this breeder to anyone looking for a Yorkie, Silky or Shih Tzu as you will not only get a great dog but will be treated like one of the family. Thanks so much to Kingcreek and they deserve all the priase thei can get. |
I love kingcreek!!!! i have been to king creek on multiple occasions and bought a Yorkie from them they are the best breeders i have ever seen!!!! and great people !!! |
what kind of guarentee did they have? |
Kingcreek Kennel in Ontario I cannot speak for anyone else but myself..having bought a beautiful, healthy smart chock full o beans yorkie from Peter Oliviera in sundridge, near huntsville (i asume thats the same kennel) I couldnt be happier. i found them to be extremely clean and actually becaue i had read your message, did a surprise visit because friends of ours had a cottage there. i was confused because i had read your opinion but everyone in sundridge who knew them only had the best to report...and same with me. i ended up dropping in to see for myself and ended up buying a nice boy whose changed my life . iam most happy with kingcreek and the owners. sorry you had such an experience. having not met you but them...maybe emotional? i even askede them about you and after seeing how very clean they were have to believe my own eyes....hope you resolved whatever prob you had. i think like eveyone else, we all have our good and bad days....cheers! |
kingcreek kennel client disagrees with claim I have a new pup from kingcreek kennel that is a wonderful addition to our family not only is she gorgeous, great temperment and healthy she is clean. she was bathed by Anita the breeder before i received the pup. She also delivered the pup to me because i have a disability and ill mother. not many breeders do this. In addition my poup was vet checked next day by my vet and was in perfect health. Anita and Pedro have become friends of mine because of our mutual love of dogs and she keeps in contact with me on a regular basis. I can personally vouch for her character and her husband;s as reputable breeders with nothing but the best intentions for her dogs, I have done my home before and after finding kingcreek kennel and not only are they not a puppy mill they give u health guarantees on the pup u purchase, something i wish i had for my late airedale terrier. There is always one bad apple in the crop of delicius ripe ones and ths post is terrible and needs to be removed because the claims areFALSE. THIS POST IS TO REASSURE ANY PROSPECTIVE BUYERS THAT THEY ARE LEGITIMATE BREEDERS THAT LOVE THEIR DOGS AND CARE FOR THEM AS IF THEY WERE CHILDREN, ALL THE BEST BARB SPEYER:animal36 |

I do not know or have any dealings with this breeder, but if I were looking for a puppy there are red flags for me, IMO: - They breed several different breeds - They breed "designer dogs" (though they talk about breeding for the betterment) - They use the word "teacup" - They do not have pics of the parents - They are advertising their dogs as being on sale! Slashing prices from $1000 to $500 for Yorkies, Biewers, etc.. How many dogs does one have that they would advertise them as being on sale at 50% off the price! :thumbdown:thumbdown |
While I cannot speak for any one else on the forum, all I can do is relay my own experiences with the Kingcreek Kennel breeders: I first contacted them 3 and a half years ago, and purchased a "teacup" male yorkie from them. He was far to young, when I received him (I cannot remember how young, but I think Peter even mentioned he thought he might have been too young now, to leave it's mother). The dog was 1.9 lbs, and was already sick with a virus. He died less than a week later. They're response was to let us pay again, half the cost of a Yorkie, and they gave us a "replacement" dog. We still trusted them and felt this may have been a fluke, and just bad luck. We have reason to believe they actually gave us a Silky Terrier, though we paid for a yorkie. This is of no consequence, since we love Slayer dearly, and think he is the best dog ever. Reccently, Slayer has had difficulty jumping up on beds, or couches, and even into the car, all things that were easy for him to do before. We took him to the vet today, and he was diagnosed with bilateral luxating patellas (essentially both of his knee caps slide on and off very easily, which means OUCH every time it happens). He's only 3, and he will have to take Omega 3's and Glucosamine every day for his whole life now. He will also have arthritis when he gets older. He's been perscribed Meloxicam (Metacam) for his pain, and will have to take that daily until we can schedule a surgery for him (anywhere from 2200-2400 $$$). If he has to stay on the painkiller, he'll need annual bloodwork to make sure his other organs are doing ok. I called Anita today to discuss this, as Luxating Patellas are genetic, and seem to be a dominant gene, as far as I've heard. She admitted that she's had a few people contact her regarding this, but as far as she was concerned, she thought glucosamine alone would cure him. I saw the knee cap move....I'm fairly certain taking omega 3's and glucosamine alone cannot cause miracles like fixing a knee cap in place. She told me she wouldn't even look into his heritage, or his parents, because the line was most likely discontinued. I contacted her in hopes that she might take me seriously, and look into this pretty serious genetic defect...possibly call up other owners who may not have realized why their dog was limping or inexplicably unable to jump anymore. She took a pretty cavalier attitude about the entire thing. Thought I love love love my dog, and will do absolutely anything I can to help him- I truly regret even making contact with this kennel, which in my opinion needs to be seriously investigated. |

Did the four year health guarantee not cover this problem? Also there are other threads on here about how folks manage their dogs with LP. You can do a search and find lots of helpful info. Basically no jumping, train your pup to use stairs for climbing up on couch bed etc. Swimming is wonderful exercise for the pups. I believe the current theory of LP is this condition can be either genetic or acquired. Early onset of LP, ie pup shows condition prior to one year old, and LP is both knees, would predispose me to think genetic. Later onset 3+ years old, becomes in my opinion much more gray. Higher chance that it is a result of a combination of environmental and other factors. |
I'm really sorry for what you are going and have gone through with your experiences with these Kennel owners. My suggestion to you would obtain a 2nd opinion from an Orthopedic Surgeon. LP in this day and age seems to be the surgery of the month for some vets. An Ortho surgeon will advice you not to have the surgery performed unless a dog has become lame. LP can be a genetic problem and can also be initied by a dog's enviornment, by allowing the dog to jump......But, as Gemy stated it can be managed. There is another thread on this Kennel that from time to time draws the attention of newbies that on their first post sing the praises of Kingcreek. I've posted the link to this thread there too. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...ml#post3514650 |

Now this is the kind of information that I have been looking for. I hope that anyone considering this breeder google them and see this information. I was asking Mardelin some questions the other day because of her experience and this is exactly the type of back up information people need to see. I have to say in this case the internet is a wonderful tool, because non suspecting puppy seekers might think just because they have a ton of dogs that they care about the one they sell you for massive dollars. |

There are two threads on this Kennel; one favorable, the other not.....from this point it's up to the individual can obtain their own deduction......That's what's great about an open forum. |

Anita Atta Mammarazzii Oliveira = https://www.facebook.com/MuskokaPawsMa Isaac Woodz Oliveira or "Izak" = https://www.facebook.com/woodzrap Have a browse at Anita's public facebook profile and you'll see first hand the paranoid behavior of *any* negative review. There is a 'hair' sensitive trigger to get their 'pet' lawyer involved. I encourage honest experiences be shared but be ready to deal with 'the wrath of Anita' when doing so. What has changed since Kingcreek? A new name, Muskoka Paws. Why? Seems there are very few or no negative reviews of Muskoka Paws yet but a boat load for Kingcreek... When you can't censor the internet, change your name! You'll also notice a significant online presence on any web directory or listing of Kingcreek or Muskoka Paws. For posterity when her facebook profile is locked down very shortly: "I am very discouraged today because I found out there are two people who are jealous of our kennel (one man never even stepped foot on our property) who are accusing us falsely. If you google us, you will see it. They say we are a puppy mill and sell sick dogs etc. What I would love from any of you who know us personally, or who've bought dogs from us, or who have seen our clean, healthy kennel to PLEASE leave a comment below or leave it at MUSKOKA PAWS/KINGCREEK KENNELS HOME PAGE....(Warning: you won't want to leave!) or on my facebook page called Muskoka Paws Kennel with your impressions or experiences. Peter and I would be so grateful. Many thanks from Muskoka Paws and Kingcreek Kennel. #feelingsosad" Image of facebook status: imgur: the simple image sharer I hope this underscores the need to thoroughly investigate brand new (1 post) rave reviewers! |
