We are lucky that Paxton survived his ordeal, although my heart goes out to all the poor puppys that have suffered, and continue to suffer. |
In defense I know anything can happen and it's horrible when it does, but I have a puppy from Granny puppies and it's a wonderful baby and I have not had a minutes problem from it. My sister has two puppies from Granny Puppies as well and hers are great. I just can't help believe that this is the exception rather than the rule. |

Funny, people with only one post and it is in defense of an unethical breeder!!!!!! makes you wonder:rolleyes: |
mynewpuppy ??? I have to ask mynewpuppy since you live 8 miles away from this place, ( according to the city on your ID ), did you go outback to the outbuildings to see how the parents of these many dogs sold are kept? I'm glad you got a healthy puppy, but what did you think about how the parents are kept? It's not the place with the pool! It's the place with all of those out buildings scattered all over. How do you think they can sell the pups for such a cheap price? I'll tell ya, they sell MASS amounts of puppies and the unfortunate parents to all these pups are kept in buildings outback. I'm not saying you can't have a kennel , but look at this place..... Doesn't take a rocket scientist to say mill..... ( just my op I guess) To the buyers that got the sick pups, I would call the vet that issued the health Cert and tell them that you and others got sick ups and mabey they should take a closer look when they come in for a well check !! I would also call the airlines that shipped these pups and tell them too, that you and others have gotten a sick pup right off the plane. Just give them a FYI ! I know shipping can cause pups to get stressed and get sick, but they must have been not in top shape for shipping, if they get off the plane in such poor condition. |

Hello everyone. I was recently browsing the internet for a new puppy and came across a little girl listed on netdaypets.com. The lister was in Grannie Puppies and she was for a great price. I am a college student, so obviously I can't afford to spend 1k$ on a puppy, and I admit I was not aware of puppy mills or breeder standards. However, when I went to see some of the golden retriever pups she had listed, even I was disgusted at the conditions. Norma is a very obese woman living in a mobile home with huge bird cages in her living room. I asked to see the pup and she had her "husband" bring me 2 golden retriever pups in kennels. I asked to see the conditions that the pups were in daily and she told me no. One of the pups were lethargic and had a runny nose and bad cough. The other one was quite energetic and I just fell in love with her and knew I had to get her out of those conditions. I paid 250$ to get this little girl out of those conditions, and I would do it again. She developed a slight cough the night I got her back to my home in Fayetteville (about a 60 mile drive), and I took her to the vet on Monday. The Dr said she was a good looking pup and had a slight case of kennel cough. I have been giving her antibiotics and her cough has gone away. She is an amazing pup and I love her to death, but I agree this lady is a fat, disgusting, horrible person and should be prosecuted for the conditions that she leaves her pups in. Us on the way home http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...59033_8037.jpg http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...63200_7285.jpg She was exhausted at the end of the day!http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...00&id=20607833 http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...576888_464.jpg I am close to the situation and am willing to do whatever is possible to get this lady shut down after seeing her conditions first hand. I feel like I was very lucky to get a healthy pup away from her, and absolutely love my little girl. However, her conditions are not livable for dogs and she should be shut down immediately. |

this is so sad~! is there anyway someone can call animal control on her a$$ and get them to see the conditions the dogs are in? Even if someone has to make up something to get them in there. I tried to look at her website but its not coming up. It makes me sick there are so many puppy mills out there, people get one because their prices are so cheap but dont realize they usually make up for it in vet bills later on... |
here is her new website, yes she is still in business and selling puppies. Maltepoo, Puggle Designer Dog Breeder, Sales | Granny Puppies |
Wow im so sorry to hear about your pup. I actually bought my yorkie from her for my kids for christmas, the puppy came and was completly fine luckily!! other then having really bad ear mites. she told me he'd be only 6-7 lbs and hes already 5lbs at 16weeks! |
well to follow up, my pup has indeed taken a turn for the worst. she developed a rough cough and her nose was very stuffy the last few days. the vet put her on some antibiotics and it didnt take care of the cough. i couldnt get her to eat this morning and she vomited a little, so i took her in. the vet put her on a stronger antibiotic, took xray of her chest and saw she has some pneumonia. they also put her on a diarettic to try to get some of the fluid out of her system. please keep my little girl in your thoughts. the next few days are going to be critical. |

awwww... it looks like her website is down and she no longer sells on nextdaypets.com as apupy4u.. don't worry though everybody, you can still get one of her fine, quality pups from nextdaypets under the seller named mycutiepuppies . give norma a call and schedule a visit if you're in the area to have a look at her top notch breeding facility and grade "A" living conditions! Puppies for Sale, Dogs for Sale |
hello everyone- please read I am a brand new member here, and recently I was researching puppy mills. A little over a year ago, I purchased a Shiba-inu from the very breeder we are discussing here: Grannies puppies, Lavica, AR. I purchased my dog at nextdaypets.com for 425$ including her airfare to O'hare airport in Chicago. Amber has been a healthy, fresh addition to my life and has been a wonderful dog. Just for kicks, I decided to research on the internet, to see if there was anything about this Woman, "Norma" whom i had extensive phone contact with. Appearantly, from reading these multiple posts, it looks like she runs a puppy mill. This does surprise me because norma was one of the sweetest people ive ever spoken to. I'm thanking god, I did not get a dog that was sick or had serious health problems, coming form conditions that i;ve read from the multiple postings on this website. Is this woman still in business today? |
CANT BELIEVE IT!! ppl please read! So i decieded to buy puppies from Norma (seeing as i got my puppy from her and looking her up on the BBB. she got a A!) i was buying them and selling them here in massachusetts (not knowing also that you needed a license to do so!) so i sold 2 the first time, and then got 2 more in (i sent her 700 each time for 2 puppies) she had said they could get diahrea from stress so i thought nothing of it.. first 2 puppies came COMPLETLY fine, they went within one day of getting here.. next 2 pups i got came about 3 days later, the female dog was very very thin and the male looked great to me.. i kept getting them in 2 by 2 and once i got 2 yorkies 2 chihuhuas, so the 2nd set of dogs i get in I get a call from the girl i sold the female to, she said she keeps having really bad diahrea and shes throwing up sick shaking, i called norma and she told me she was fine that she had been VERY stressed, give her peptobizmal and pedialight, next day comes she said she brought her to the vet and the vet thinks its parvo i call norma and she told me the vet was bulls**ting ( i thought nothing of it!>) i ended up taking the girls dog back and tried to get it better DIED ON ME!! norma said it was dehydrated and she'd send me another puppy with the next i buy, in the mean time i called the other people who bought the male and they said there dog was fine, they ended up calling a few days after the girls dog died and told me there dog was sick with Parvo They wanted a refund right away! which i couldnt give, i told norma and she said that it came positive for parvo because of the vacinations they give are strong.. SoO i didnt think anything of it.. I got the next 2 in and kept em for 2 days they were fine, very very energetic.sold them and got the 4 in at once (2 chihuhuas for my sister who was selling them and 2 more yorkies!) when the yorkies got here one was very light and was shaking wouldnt come out and was very scared..he wouldnt drink anything..the other was complelty healthy Very energetic.. i told norma about the thin one she said he was just fine that he didnt know who i was he'd be fine.. during the night the puppy had Severe diahrea everywhere.. i woke up and he barfed.. called norma she said peptobizmal..gave it seemed to work a tad bit, he wouldnt eat or drink though.. told her that she said boil chicken (did that he ate a tiny bit) wouldnt drink though so i was syringing him with pedialight.. night goes and he keeps barfing and having SEVERE nasty smelling black diahrea.. she said its fine peptobizmal him.. next day comes HES EXTREMLY SICK!! wont walk, wont eat wont drink keeps shaking.. she calls her vet and he says its probally Giardia that she'll send me meds.. she told me stick him downstairs so i did.. i went downstairs and he just looked like he was dying, the meds didnt come so i said screw it im taking him to the vet and i dont care how much it cost (i dont have much money as it is, im 20 and have a 2 1/2 year old and 1 1/2 year old..) but i didnt care i was taking him.. i took him in and they were like "OMG he needs to be seen RIGHT AWAY!!" they took him estimated 700, they call me the next day and tells me he has PARVO!! i was histerically crying, i called norma and told her, she said its bullsh*T that he would have been dead already.. at that time i already knew it was all parvo *i didnt wanna belive it because she was VERY Convincing.* so he ran me up to 1000, and i had to sign him over to the vet because i couldnt afford it anymore, he was pouring blood barfing and diahrea still.. (the usda was involved after the older couple and the girl called about there dogs.. as well as the Framingham police department.. OMG i am screwed lol) so yeah 4 days goes by and my mom tells me the guy my sister sold the chihuhuas to the 9 week old got parvo and died!! =( its just a MESS.. norma said its all b*s and that they'd all be sick.. i keep texting her and she wont write back.. she took all her puppies off nextday pets and just WONT respond.. I end up having my puppy boots and the other puppy on quarenteen for god knows how long.. BOTH of them are fine by the way.. 2 vets said that they vacanation papers she sends are basically fake and to just throw them out, she told me she worms them and gives them there vacanations mind u she only has them for a few days because she gets the puppies that the pet stores dont want.. So i ended up with a 1000 vet bill, Vet bills for my puppy and the other puppy.. all in all its cost me a good 1500. which norma is not helping with.. oh and 2 people who want there money back which i dont have.. she deffintly screwed me good time.. i truthfully cannot believe someone could be like this.. i really really trusted her (exp with her having a A on the better business buero! *SP* anywho the little puppy that i paid 1000 for ended up living..checked in on him today.. and no one else siad there dogs have parvo.. Please please please NO ONE BUY FROM HER if u ever see her online again.. Trust what people say .. oH and my boots she said would only be 5-7 lbs at the most is now 9 and hes only 7 months..and the puppy i have thats 10 weeks is 4lbs!!!!!! |
by the way i just filed a complaint it with the BBB we'll see what she has to say.. guess the woman i thought was so so nice really isnt nice after alL! |

Fool you one time, shame on them, fool you twice, shame on you. I have sympathy for the poor dogs who suffered, but I have zero for you. You shouldn't have been selling dogs in the first place, and you also should have realized something was wrong the first time a pup got sick. |

Poor puppies!:( |

Im glad the baby is doing well and if you want to send me a email to my email address we can chat... also get some nutra cal and give to him will help give him energy and also order some DYNE .. Good luck .. |
Wow What a crazy thread..... Don't buy from puppy mills! Don't try to be the middle man to make money on puppies (broker) - certainly if you know it's a puppy mill! Do your homework before buying a dog you haven't seen! That's all I have to say about that. |
Lone Pine Pets It seems that the new kennel name is Lone Pine Pets. It seems that they change the kennel name very often and that they have more kennel names. |
Grannys Puppies Wow.... Dont know why I decided to look this up today. And I do see that this is an old post but I could not pass this up. We purchased a dog from them back in June of last year. And he came to us sick with Kennel Cough. He is doing well and very healthy now that we know of. But this I do not agree with. Please keep me updated! |
These most recent posts make me sick to my stomach. I sure hope you are making lots of money while these poor, sick babies are being shipped, and then sold again. I don't understand how someone can say they love dogs and then put them through all that. Please, please stop brokering puppies. The greed at the expense of these sweet babies is so disheartening. Meanwhile the puppymills are just cranking out the pups. |

Our Story I don't know if this lady is still in business but I wanted to let you know about our experience with her. We purchassed our dog Dusty (white maltipoo) from Granny's Puppies on Oct 19, 2008. Two crates arrived at the RIC airport, both with white maltipoo's. We were so excited and picked up the one with our name on it. The other crate had a very lively puppy, but our puppy seemed very tired. When we got him to the car we immeditly wanted to hold him, but we let him sleep. We knew we had a problem when he didn't eat, walk, play. We took him to the Vet the next day and they said he had severe pneumonia along with other problems, was way too young and probably will not make it. We paid out $$$ for months to get him well and im very happy to say we have a very strong and healthy 2 year old Dusty. If I had to do it again, I would....I wish I could save them all. Cruelty to animals should not be tolerated, and cruelty comes in many facets. I hope and pray that the other maltipoo we saw that day has a healthy and happy life. A year ago, Dusty was joined by his best friend Denver, a yorkipoo from a local breeder. They are our children! Dusty will always have a slight heart problem caused by the pneumonia, we will keep a close eye. They play all day in the yard and sleep all night in our bed. I wish all dogs could enjoy life as they do. I will only buy from a respectful, clean and healthy breeder from now on! |
