As some of you may know Catherine Johnson the owner of Heritage Hill Yorkies had a heart attack back in April. Before that happened she had bred 5 of her females, she figured since she was going to cut down to 2 or 3 litters a year she wanted to do one last big breeding. Well since she's been in the hospital her daughters Lorie and Terri and a family friend have been whelping and taking care of all the adults and new pups. Lorie has kept me updated as to how Catherine was doing and how the pups and soon to be whelping Moms were doing. A friend and I went to see them on the 3rd of May and I fell in love with the little girl I had picked out before she was born. Yes I know that is crazy to some picking a puppy sight unseen. But when I had looked at Catherines website I liiked at the females that were bred and took into consideration the ones that always had smaller pups. only 3 of the 5 fit the bigger size I wanted so then I looked at each one and Mandalea's picture for some reason just gave me a feeling. So then I looked at the sires pic and peds and just somehow knew that if Mandlea had a girl that she would be the puppy for me. Well the next day I called Catherine and her and I taleked for a few hours and when I told her all this she just said sometimes it happens that way but lets see if she has any girls. Manda was due April 8th so Catherine told me to call on the 9th. I called and that was when I found out what happened to Catherine. Manda's pups were born April 6th and she had 1 girl. Anyway the family friend has been keeping me updated on how Friday is doing and sending me pics. Lorie has also been keeping me updated on Catherine's condition. Since all this has happened Catherine has come to realize she cannot keep as many as she has now so she is having to cut down her breeding program considerably. When i found this out I knew that since I was going to possibly be showing Friday I decided to add Heritage Hill into her name, Catherine loves the idea and is very much ok with that. Granted I wasn't able to ask more questions that have been recommended to ask but I have had the opportunity to talk to other breeders and buyers that have gotten a Yorkie from Catherine and they are all satisfied with their Yorkies.
