Spay after C-Section Is it necessary to have a spay after a C-Section? Can doggies not have repeat c-sections? |
section I give most bitches two chances to free whelp. Some times it can be the bad luck of having one over sized pup or a puppy blocking the opening. My decisions depends on a number of factors..size of bitch, reason for section, etc. No one can make a blanket statement and say.."one section for all, then spay"..it must be taken bitch by bitch as with any breeding. |
I agree with YorkieRose. Once c-section doesn't necessarily mean you'll need another one. Sit down and talk with your vet. |
Good advice Pat! I agree. :) |
c-section The chances are usually greater of needing a second c-section but I have personally known of several breeders who have had several litters naturally after a c-section. It is different in every case. As someone else here said talk it over with your vet as he should know your bitch better and be able to advise you. |
section This is quite true..I found about 50% of mine free whelped the second time, but the other 50% needed another section and I spayed them... |
i had kandy spayed last week at the same time of her section. but, i knew I only planned for her to have one more litter then retire so i didn't want her to go thru it again even tho she had always been a free whelper. Just too big a chance to take on her life at the time. but, my some of my husbands beagles have had to have repeat sections. |
