Thank you everyone! Shay did not really let me near her pup last night after all that but at 3 a.m. Shay decided that she was going to sleep with me. I tok her back to the whelping box with her baby and 5 mins later I hear puppy cries...Shay was carring baby into my bed with her :eek: So, we ended up sleeping together. She cuddled in my neck all night and the baby under her belly. I did not want to do this as I could hardly sleep but everytime I tried to move Shay she got upset...:p

I'm happy to hear the little girl is doing fine . I bet you are just exhausted. I'm abit tired myself after staying up with you so late, but I am glad I was able to help you. My being tired is worth it to be there for you in your time of need. Is Mom finally leaving the cord alone???

Aw congrat to you on our little girl and sorry to hear about the lil' guy. Shay looks beautiful, even during her pregnancy. Are you keeping the girl? I've never seen a prego mama this late into the stages so thanks for sharing. That was fun to see everything and all the setup

Thank you Deb :p You were above and beyond help to us last night. I really apprecaite your staying on the phone with me for even a few hours after it was all over...About the cord, I got the band-aid of of it this morning by carefully using a q-tip and neosporin to lube & roll it off. I had a time with it because the little baby is so delicate but it's all dried up now. :p ~ Hugs

Congratulations but I am so sorry about the boy. i am also sorry I had to turn the computer off before things got going. my crew expcts lights out at ten but thank goodness, Deb was with you the whole way. I kept waiting for the phone to ring.

Yeah glad mom left it alone and didnt try to get the band-aid off. Now did you get any sleep at all??? I think I crashed 30 minutes after we got off the phone and was up at 6 am as always,lol.

I'm glad I could help in anyway...I just wish we could have saved the little boy, but he was born cold and his placenta had seperated. We didnt see any signs of it cause the little girl was comming out with him and I'm pretty sure she had his placenta behind her. The girl came out with in seconds after the boy was finally unstuck.

Congratulations on the little baby girl... so sorry you lost the little boy. Glad to hear that you had help during the delivery. Nice to know there are some "late nighters" here.

Dee, thank you so much for all your help! There was nothing we could do to save the boy, it's just the way nature worked this time :( I worked on him and so did Crystal but...

Our new little girl is so cute :p Here are a few pics for everyone to enjoy!

Oh! The little girl is sooo cute. I am sorry that things were difficult, I just went thru similar birthing last week. I understand about Shay wanting to sleep with you. My DC was the same way. I ended up sleeping next to the cage since they were born last week. Oh my back!! But yes it is worth it. Hope you get some rest and all things go well.
