Any YTCA Breeders on YT? I was just wondering if any of the member breeders here are members of YTCA? |
club I have had the honor of being asked to join by my regional club members and it was very gracious of them. I have never follwed through and have no good reason why not, it is a great club. Right now I want to get involved with the Gold Coast Yorkie club here in Florida. Check out YTCA site for a list of breeders. |

More good info on YTCA on this thread~ http://yorkietalk.com/forums/showthr...?t=9109&page=2 |
Thank you Kim for pointing out that particular thread on the YTCA. I have no idea how I must have missed it but thank you for bringing it to my attention. I do not think anyone ever said that the ONLY place to buy a yorkie was from the YTCA breeders. I think what was said was that a couple of us felt more secure buying from a breeder that is held by a code of ethics and that were at least trying to breed to the standard. Personally i think if you feel that strongly about their policies perhaps you could join one of the showbreeders forums and post all your ideas there, I know I would be interested to hear the feedback you get. Please let us know what they say. |
forums Who is this question directed at...You can not join a showbreeders forum unless you are a show breeders. Many are by invitation only. I certainly understand buying from club members. Regional Yorkie club rules and ethic's are very strict as with the YCTA. Of course, many quality Yorkies come from breeders who belong to no clubs..I know show breeders who hate clubs and do not join any. |
Pat, it was not directed at you. I was referring to Kims previous post on the YTCA's policies. I certainly agree that many quality yorkies come from breeders that are not members of any clubs or that show either. My point is if you do not KNOW a breeder or KNOW someone that has bought a pup form a reputable breeder perhaps it is a better option than typing out yorkie pups for sale on the internet. |
breeders A buyer does have a bit of recourse with a club member. You can always make a complaint. I am not saying the club will step in, but breeders perfer to work things out and make the pet buyer happy instead of a string of complaints about them. |
