Has anyone ever been contacted by Breedadog.com I was emailed by a person who stated they were from a site called Breedadog.com and wanted me to put my litter of pups up for sale there....I have NO intention of doing so but wondered where he got my name? Perhaps from the AKC website where the pups are listed? Why in heavens would anyone want to broker their yorkie pups with him? Just curious if anyone else had gotten emails from them. Hi Debbie That really suprises me. I work for Breedadog.com - we are a UK based company promoting in the USA. I am unaware of anyone contacting you and would be interested to find out who. For your information we are a site dedicated to responsible breeders. We work extensively with the best publications and breed associations your name will have no doubt been recommended. We offer the best directory of Stud Dogs and Litters for sale. We police our site constantly to ensure we only carry adverts from ethical breeders and not puppy farmers. Because we are new to the USA it is FREE to advertise with us for you guys at the moment so we are not trying to hussle we just want to offer pet owners or potential pet owners the opportunity to see the best puppies available. site Graham.. Do you actually go to each breeder and inspect conditions or do you accept their word? Do you check vet references and registeries to see if the breeder is reputable? If not, you only have the word of the breeder..just like all other puppy selling sites..sorry. |
When Lexie had her litter last October, I actually got phone calls (more than once) from someone saying they were from Puppyfind (I"m not sure I'm remembering the exact website accurately, but one of those kinds of websites), wanting to buy my entire litter also. I turned them down flat, each time. Don't know who they were or where my pups would end up. Thanks, but no thanks. |
I'd want to sell my own pups, so I know if they're the kind of people who can give my pup a good home. |
Hi I'm new to the forum but looking through found your message, i just wanted to add i've had my stud dog (not a Yorkie) on the Breedadog site for almost a year and are about to re-new also sold puppies through the site, it's not about selling them a whole litter it's a great way to find new homes for pups. I delt with all potential new owners directly as i would with any other classified add placed anywhere else. I did have contact with their office once and that was to ask how to add my kennel page BRYNFIELDS breeder homepage, Clare Goodall from Derbyshire. This is a feature of the site that offers advertisers their own mini website, you can put a direct link there if you do have your own site. So really just wanted to say i had great results recommend anyone to check out the site and basically don't knock it untill you've tried it. Now back to Yorkies i'm on this forum as thinking of getting a Yorkie i have a Springer Spaniel and Labrador but want a small dog so any views as to how a Yorkie would fit with my guys would be great. All my dogs are very placid, excellent temperaments and mix very well with other dogs. |
