Hey On My Daughter's Account - Question about Breeder Hey my daughter has seem to taken a liking to this site and asked me to first check with this site if they believe that www.touchofyorkie.com is a alright or decent breeder. I'm wondering has anyone had any experience with them, Can you see something on the page that smells a little fishy ? Well it would help if you guys had any suggestions or feedback. My daughter has been after this puppy for months , and i think we might of found the right one. :animal-pa |
Never hear of them ..and the link does not work. |
I'm sorry about that the correct link is http://www.touchofgoldyorkie.com/pricing.html |

I would want to either see in person or picture's the mom & dad. Go there and see how she keeps her dogs. Are they all in cages, does it smell, or does it look clean, and the dogs looked well cared for. I can't see any blaring problems with the site, but it's always better to be on the careful side. Also, remember the smaller the dog the more problems you might have. A 7 lb Yorkie is more apt to have less problems, and be a lot less likely to get hurt. |

i did not care for the comments made about the standard size and AKC. she is not adhearing to the standard of the breed. AGAIN, I WOULD SAY NO NO NO NO |
another comment. she does not show the mother and father to some of the puppies available. she accepts mc-visa. now from what i know, you have to really bring in lots of money to even afford mc-visa. they charge a lot per transaction. i don't know....these are just my thoughts |
She sells these tiny pups -- and says that "ALL puppies are sold with full AKC registration" |

"All of our Dams and Sires are less than 4 pounds." This comment worries me. |
All pups sold on full reg? :( No pictures or info on the parents that I could see or a picture or ino on their stud. ( for their stud service ) If you live near by you could go look and check it out. If shipping I would say no |
I noticed she had a line: We aim to breed Yorkies that shine in their owner's eyes and the show ring. I didn't see any show pages or even any pages with the info for any adults etc. Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |

I see nothing on the website about health guarantees........ Selling on full registration to someone sight unseen, without knowing the person..... RUN |

Of course you can show anything you choose. However, the purpose for showing your dog is to obtain approval of your breeding stock. You may find judges that will put up those tinies, but they are far and few between. There was nothing on that website showing her show dogs??????????? So, how could she pass herself off as a show breeder if she hasn't Championed any.....I would think being a show breeder you would want to advertise your accomplishments....... |

I agree tho that I would not buy from this breeder. |

The Official Breed Standard for the Yorkshire Terrier Weight Must not exceed seven pounds. This is how it reads on the YTCA page. http://www.ytca.org/frame_index2.html |
